Thanks everyone. I plan to keep the post updated as it leads up to the hunt and after.

Nice bulls. I would have a hard time not pulling the trigger on any of them. My biggest bull so far is a 4x5 rag horn.

I'll probably get a lot of crap for saying how many points I had but what the heck! I had 2 points (hunters safety and loyalty). I never expected to draw the tag and have been putting it on my apps as first choice for only about 6 years. It shows how much luck has to play in the draw. I'm very much grateful for the tag and as anyone that knows me can agree I will bust my butt on this hunt. Every hunt I get I take the week or sometimes two weeks off work for each one and glass until my eyes fall out, then walk a few miles and glass some more. I usually help other people get the "trophy" they want and I seem to settle for something less on the last day. Now it's my turn to get my "trophy". I still consider all my harvested animals trophy and will cherish the memories forever. Just really want at least a 350 bull this year. Lol

Thank you. I plan on getting my 7yo up to Haigler this summer for a few overnighters looking for elk and fishing. If anyone is up there and sees a silver lifted 4runner with skull works decal on the back with a cwt sticker on top of it that's me. Don't be shy, I'll probably offer you a beer.

I don't do my own reloading but my AR I use for pigs, varmints, and one coues loves the 77 gr nosler and 77 gr sierra bullets loaded in 556 cases and pressures. What twist is your barrel?

I payed $1099 and no shipping for mine. But the place I ordered thru isn't running that deal anymore. I think average retail is about $1200.

I had to pre- order mine last July. Got it the middle of September.

I painted the forend and butt stock. Eventually I want to have it cerikote tan. I just didn't like the all black gun look.

From what I can tell it's a tack driver. With a brake you can watch your bullets hit targets, holds 10rds, and has a super light/crisp trigger.

So far I only shot the factory 140 a-max loads and you can stack bullets at 200 yds doing your part on the bench. Going to try some hand loads a buddy is working up with the bergers and eld-x bullets.

I got the 6.5 and it's an awesome gun. Way too heavy for packing around. Great for shooting them from where you glass. I have only shot out to 600 yds with it so far and put about 80rds thru the gun. Wife was able to get her first deer with it last season at 369yds. She hadn't shot that gun before that day and just did what I told her to do after I dialed it in for 370.

Dang, no idea where I came up with this past Tuesday. Guess I have to wait like 10 weeks to find out instead of 9. Lol
