I am sure everyone on the forum will have a different opinion on how and what call to use, but for my 2 cents buy an arsenal of calls and carry them with you! I use a different call for different situations, and I even place certain pieces of certain types of calls on other calls (mix and match). The best advice I can give is practice… practice…learn how your call sounds and learn to change it up….I have been in many different situations where one day a call will work and the next it won’t so know how to use them and don’t be afraid to mix it up… Like mentioned in the above responce...I also had some great success with the hotlips last year.....

I am for a change in the system as well but like most of the posts not sure which is the best. I do know a close friend of mine drew an early archery bull tag in unit 1 last year and sure enough he drew early archry bull in 27 this year.......something is wrong

I hear you and it is frustrating I was finally lucky enough to draw after 3 yrs of being skunked....I hear what others are saying about leftover tags but it isn't the same for me.....I spend numerous amounts of hrs in the units I like to hunt for a reason... -
First of all Congrats to all that have drawn... I have a personnel question and wanted to hear the forums input.... What are your thoughts on youths first year hunts??? It was my sons first year to put in for deer and he has been so excited for this year for about 3 yrs now and counting down till today, only to find out that he was unsuccessful in the draw.. Now here is my issue we and asgfd are trying to push hunting and outdoorsman to the youth shouldn't it be an automatic draw for the little ones putting in for their first time???? I was lucky enough to draw myself so I will be signing over my tag to my little stud, but being actually drawn is most of the fun... What are your thoughts?? I put him in for the youth hunts thinking it was automatic guess I should of put him in with me.... Either way we will have a blast in the outdoors....
