I think I might be interested in your scope. What is the extra cross hairs for? I can only guess long range shooting. I would be mounting this on my Remington 7MM. Plus how did you like the 50mm compared to the 40mm scope much difference? This will be my first scope purchase. My current set up came with a cheapo. But with a bear and coues tag I think its time to upgrade.

I use mineral blocks and a trail cam. I spend more money and time tending to them several times a year than just showing up on opening day and driving roads hoping a buck runs across. I don't sit the salt. I simply use it and the cam to insure there is a caliper of deer that I want to harvest in that area. Plus it is cool to see what else is running around the woods. What I hate is guys sitting behind a rifle with his deer with the title of the picture. DEER @ 653 yards. Now thats B.S. Outlaw those ballistic scopes. Some dummie picks one up and thinks he now has the capabilities of a military sniper. This is hunting people not target practice. Sneak up on your game. Shots over say 300 yards are just plain silly. 40 and under is where its at! sneaky style

I hope that isn't the philosophy your passing on to the next generation of hunters. I know my kids wont be taught to disregard the laws and regulations -
Looks like the pears in 24A are still way to green. You must be looking at the higher elevations in 24A Rimunter? Looks like were going to hold off till the end of August and hope no one kills a female.

I'll be looking in the pears this weekend. Thinking about 24A

%$&^#$% Camera Thief
MT. CAT replied to Big Browns's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Hope you get to meet him face to face. I just put mine out for the first time 3 weeks ago. (21 days 264 pics)Luckily it was still there. Does anyone else use the cable and bracket lock? I couldn't pass up the insurance of using one on my stealth cam. If the other camera got a good picture of them print a few off and bring it in your pack. Then if your lucky enough to see him, show him the pick, then give him 2 options pay up or get ------ up ! There wont be anywhere to run to in the field!
