Where do we see how many are left? I can't find it. Found it: https://otcarcherydeer.azgfd.gov/product/az-nonresident-archery-deer-nonpermit-tag/ 234 left

We have used the Bog Pod Deathgrip with a lot of success. For kids it's about having fun and reducing stress. Let them enjoy the hunt, let them shoot what they want. Set the gun up in the vice and line it up on the deer. The kid can make small adjustments if at all needed. Lots of time behind a 22 will help. No matter how much training and shooting they do, they will struggle. Take it easy and dont be hard on them. The first hunt is the time to get them hooked. If you make it miserable they will not want to keep going. There is nothing like shooting your first deer. These kids hunts are some of my favorites.

AZ Strip trail cam ban impact..?. and other thoughts?
CouesFanatic replied to bigbuckclub's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I agree with the above. From what ive seen with elk season and coues so far, the grass is tall, water is everywhere and animals a spread out. I'd expect the same thing in 13A. Id be ready to glass like crazy in a new spot every day. Don't be afraid to move. Don't be intimidated by the groups of guides and glassers. -
Didn't like it? Ive been looking at this and Ollin

Looking for brands that have quality youth sized camo. I can't seem to get KUIU to ship anything out to us. I've been waiting for them to ship out the clothes but they seem to have a 3 week delay on shipping only. Tired of their poor customer service, unwilling to fix pants with broken zippers after one day, packs that the aluminum frame break they won't fix etc. SKRE seems nice but no kids line. SITKA seems to have kids sizes but the pattern is a bit goofy. They don't have a shirt, only a jacket, hoody or pants. Any others?

Agreed. However I think that the quota system is going backwards. Bear and archery deer should be a draw imo. In 20 years the quota system won’t work with our human population increasing like it is

Disappointed in the G&F decisions once again....

Ive been sitting in a blind for deer and the bulls are bugling really good. Seen a few pushing cows. One is a nice 330 bull. Seen spikes smacking their velvet antlers together. Saw 3 herds last night and all had bulls with them, dark antlers and bugling. Elk look fat and happy, lots of water, grass to their belly, really my favorite time to be in the woods.

E-tag, but you still have to tag the animal with a "material of your choice" with a unique code on it. What the point of an e-tag if we still have to tag it? Might as well keep the original sticker tag.

almost looks like someone at G&F made the executive decision to close it. Jumped to 55.

There's a lot more to it than that. Here is the exact wording from the application: The Arizona Game and Fish Department may issue a CROSSBOW permit if the applicant has one or more of the following physical limitations: An amputation involving body extremities required for stable function to use conventional archery equipment; A spinal cord injury resulting in a disability to the lower extremities, leaving the applicant nonambulatory; A wheelchair restriction; A neuromuscular condition that prevents the applicant from drawing and holding a bow; A failed manual muscle test involving the grading of shoulder and elbow flexion and extension or an impaired range-of-motion test involving the shoulder or elbow; A combination of comparable physical disabilities resulting in the applicant's inability to draw and hold a bow; or A failed functional draw test that equals 30 pounds of resistance and involves holding it for four seconds. The functional draw test may not be used to determine eligibility for the permit when it is not associated with a disability.

The majority of the deer killed with this new system will be the dumb and young bucks. Sucks for guys that are looking for older deer but at least your students are out hunting instead of being a tree hugging liberal.

Im assuming it will show up as AZGFD on the caller ID. That's what I've seen in the past

30 foot rule is as bad as the motor vehicle use map. The 2 inch by 2 inch road closed stickers work real well. Might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen them do. What happened to blading the front of the road and putting a 4 foot sign in the middle of the road? Seems like they used to do it that way and now they expect everyone to know which roads are open and closed. I'm sorry but your 2 inch sticker is useless.
