4b archery bull late hunt any thoughts on where to look?
CouesFanatic replied to Jo Hunter's topic in Elk Hunting
Gunna be a tough hunt. I'd put some cameras up around water about a month before the hunt. -
$180 OBO, this scope is in perfect condition.

Man we need some rain. How many acres?
-
The fire aint over yet.
-
If they block access then there will be nowhere to hunt in 27! Almost all of the Elk inhabitable area has been burnt. I sure hope this fire was just on the ground for some of it.

only a few things left.

Nice bulls you found. I think we need some rain. The feed has been fine up to this point but we need some rain now. My opinion anyway.

Typical Govt agencies. We should never expect them to do what is right. I feel bad for the unit one archery hunters. Adding 90 tags to the hunt this year and now half the unit is torched. 117 is gunna be a madhouse come Sept 9. 27 got killed, the wilderness area is gunna be a like going to Cabelas. No significant reduction in animals, what happened to all the torched dead elk? Oh, but we have the time and money to save the dumb wolves. I'm sure everyone would rather save the wolves instead of the 30 plus homes that were burnt down. What a joke.

Sorry for the late response. pm's sent

Just because they don't legally have to do anything doesn't mean they won't. We all know what is the right thing to do here.

My dad has the archery elk rut tag in 27. I wonder if the Fish and Game is going to do anything about this.
-

-
Now taking offers on anything left.
-
A better question might be, where can I not find coues in 22. Anywhere above 3000 feet or so would be good.

Wow, check out the deal on Camofire right now. camofire.com. Killer deal on a trail cam if anyone is looking for one.

True, good luck. Antelope are pretty hard to judge. Going to Wyoming really helped me get a good idea of what to hold out for. We will be hunting for a 80+ inch buck in 5A. We worked on our guns tonight. Added a picatinny rail and Warne rings instead of the cheezy loupold rings. He's got a z6 with a turret. Off to the range soon, can't wait till August. Then in Sept my wife and I have an archery bull tag in 5A also. Its gunna be a good year.

Well my dad drew a 5a Rifle antelope tag. We have been up there a bit scouting. Anyone have this tag recently and care to give some advice? He's waited a long time for this, don't want to screw it up. ha ha.
-
Unfortunatly I think a lot have never had an antelope tag. Bryce, you should head up to Wyoming. The antelope are everywhere up there.
-
Eli, shoot me the pic, I will post it. azhunter400@gmail.com I had a tag in there in 09, I might have seen this buck.

Good to hear. Bump
