He says they blew up 4 stalks? Clearly he hasn't hunted much. There isn't a human on the planet that doesn't blow stalks. You keep trying till it happens just right. I've been in camp with them and they hunt hard with lots of local knowledge. There is a reason they can charge as much as they do, they kill big stuff constantly.

They screwed you over. Both my kids have summer birthdays and both got points that year when applying at 9 years old almost 10.

I was against the e-tag thing for a while until I tried it. It's a lot better than the paper tags in a lot of ways. I do have to carry a sharpie with some duct tape wrapped around it for the confirmation number. Never can leave your tag at home anymore! Been down that road a few times. It's pretty dumb I had to drive to a regional office to buy2024 OTC tags that appear on my phone. I literally left the office with just a receipt. It needs to go to buying tags online.

Why? What do I have to hide?

Send me a message. I'm a chiropractor, I deal with all these attorneys every day. Theres a lot of attorneys around here you really don't want to use.

Boat sold thanks. Rancher still for sale.

Boat is free someone come take it. Need to clear some room.

Bump, I'll throw in the boat seen behind the trailer in the pic. it's a 72, needs some welding or sealing and paint. Comes with a trolling motor, anchor and 2 oars.

I have a 2017 Honda Rancher I was just going to list for sale. I love the quad, probably will regret selling. Let me know if you are interested. Either way stick with Honda.

Theres a lot of state trust checkerboarded in there, some BLM. Technically not public, but you know what I mean, huntable not private land.
-
I killed a bull on public there on the pop man hunt last summer. On the way out one of the ranchers flipped me off. Makes sense now. Glad I didn't have to pay 10K.

Ya the NL's do have a large FOV. What's the 10vs 12 FOV? Looked it up: 12x42 NL 339ft at 1000 yards 10x42 NL 399ft at 1000 yards Both are excellent and you cant go wrong. Personal preference really. I'm in the minority liking the 10's but thats what works for me looking through both.
-
I have the 10 and 12 NL's. I prefer the 10's. If you glass under 500 yards much the 12 are pretty powerful, a little too much for the close stuff. Long distance stuff the 12's have the advantage. I like carrying the 10 NL and a 60mm spotter for closer looks at headgear.

Any local gunsmiths you can recommend? I'm looking to thread a Tikka Superlite 243. Im in the east valley.

Back east I could see that. They aren't lobbing 1000 yard rifle shots like what happens here. Half you guys act like the loss isn't high for these upcoming rifle deer hunts. Theres a lot of loss with archery and rifle, people take shots beyond their capability and things happen. Nothing is ideal, it's hunting. We all have gotten excited and messed things up more times than we would like, with a bow and a rifle.

Thanks. I hunted Friday through Sunday. it's starting to pick up but it's pretty spotty. Most mornings they were done bugling at 7:15 but yesterday we got into them till 9:30am. Last night was a bust, no bugling.
-
I'd agree with a lot of big bulls but I'm hearing reports of slow bugling from all over. How's the bulging were you guys are?
