Wrong. It's not about getting ahead of the people with the same point level. The problem is allowing those with more points a higher chance than those with less. A squared point system puts a bigger gap between the point groups and increases the odds of drawing each year. A bonus point system puts a extremely small advantage with each bonus point. So much so that lower point pools draw all the time. Thats the fun/risk of it and also the detriment to some.

You didn't get drawn because you are holding out for certain tags. If you wanted to hunt it could have happened long ago.

A fair solution would be like the Nevada system where your bonus points are squared. Dramatically increased odds for each year not drawing is fair. AZ's system increases your odds with each bonus point very little. Someone with 18 points doesn't have a whole lot better chance than someone with 4 as long as its not in the bonus point pass. Study the draw sheets, you will see. With a squared bonus point system your odds actually increase with each bonus point.

I say ban cameras because its getting out of hand. When you show up to water holes and there 6,8,10 cameras on a hole its just stupid. I don't care who kills more game or bigger animals or what not. You can't take a piss in unit 9 without being on someones camera let alone drop a duce. Yes they are annoying. Yes they are useful tools. Yes a lot of theft occurs. Yes, they cause a lot of tree damage. The land is for the use of all the public. Do you see other recreationists leaving devices everywhere? Maybe the shooting crowd leaving junk. Just thinking out loud here, but seem to me that the public leaving stuff on land gets in the way of other people. BTW, I have used them and do use them from time to time.

Ya, cameras are worthless. Thats why all the big guides run several hundred in every unit.

No december rifle mule deer in 23 anymore...Looks like they are rotating the units a bit, I like it. Adding 25 tags to all the 33 Coues hunts...what a joke 750 tags in the first 3 hunts for coues 50 more 12aw early rifle tags. 5a and 5b are gunna get pounded for deer. up 189 to 471 tags.

Looking for suggestions on a lake in the pines where I can camp with the wife and kids right by the water. I know a few I can camp by but they are in the cedars. Looking for somewhere new. Been to Woods Canyon a lot, looking to use my Kodiak Canvas right by the water. Have a fire, fish and have fun.

I thought it was 1/4 mile from a water tank or water hole. You are right, from the wording it looks like lakes are not included, it is vague.

For fun. I selfishly wish that selling sheds was not allowed. It sure would solve a lot of problems with the way things are heading.

I know personally that 9 and 5B get pounded just as hard. 5BN has some idiot on a dirt bike driving through all the meadows almost daily. He's been doing it for years.

I'd keep the spotter and buy some 10x42 Swarovski EL's. I like the 10's and a spotter best. Buy 15's down the road. The 10's and a spotter will get you by for now.

Eastman has it backwards probably. 5B is the good unit. 5A is not near as good.

Does anyone have the 2014 Elk and Antelope Bonus Point pass and 1 2 pass by hunt number documents? I got the 2015 off the website but I don't see any earlier years. Thanks
