To each their own. I don't see it as poor integrity when the G&F set it up like that to increase revenue. They know its happening; its not like we are pulling a fast one on the game and fish. If transferring a tag to a youth or party group apps keep you from sleeping at night you must not have much to worry about.

You are only like 10 years behind...Anyone not doing this is getting screwed. Thus the flaw in the system. I agree with Flatlander, we work with what system we have.

20 more chances does not equal 20 times their current odds. If someone with zero points has a 2% chance, that doesn't mean someone with 20 points has a 40% chance. Yes they may have 20 more chances but they odds are still extremely low and very little change from 0 points to 20 points. Like I said its like .5 to 1.2% from 0 points to 20 points. Someone with 1 point below the max group has little to no benefit over someone with 0 points.

This is not correct. They have 20 more chances, not 20X chances. Look at the true draw odds from the game and fish. On these top end hunts 0-20 points is very little change in percentage to draw. Like .5%-1.2% from 0 through 20 points then when they hit the cap it goes to 40%, then 60%, then 100%.

Yes because this ban or season idea is for using cameras for hunting. It doesn't ban using cameras. The Game and Fish cannot ban cameras on Forest Service Land. The Forest Service or BLM has to ban it on the land they control. The Game and Fish has no authority to ban using cameras outside of hunting purposes. If the Game and Fish bans cameras year round there will still be legal cameras up. If they create a season there will still be legal cameras up outside of that season. Your idea of everyone taking cameras down is just not possible unless you get the Forest Service and BLM on board.

How is that easy to enforce?

If there's that much traffic I wouldn't expect that too last long being left there. That will have bullet holes in it fast

I'd say about equal if not more. There a lot of guys over in that area. The 87 has more hunt able area. The 77 hits Rez probably 25 minutes out of globe.

The whole highway has deer on it and the whole thing gets hammered by people. Be careful with the Rez boundary.

I'd suggest early archery cow. You get to experience the rut some but also get to cut your teeth on elk hunting. Late bull for a beginner sounds like no fun, unless you really know what you are doing.

Gunna be tough to prove they were hunting in a spot they had a camera. Running cameras will still be legal after this passes. Good luck knowing who's camera is who's and who is using that info for the take of game. Exactly why people smearing peanut butter or saying they will take cameras down is garbage. It could be Joe Wildlife Watcher 's camera from Scottsdale. Now if they post a trail cam picture they are are another level of dumb and deserve to be caught.

I agree with you. Its difficult to know the genetics of an animal. Thats why I think point restriction programs struggle. I think the point of the thread is that we are killing too many deer and would like to limit NR's if we have to cut tags somewhere.

It's not about who breeds more its about what age class is out there. A spike is a future 120 buck. If we shoot too many deer, nothing gets old. 1.5 year old spike or a 3.5 year old 70 inch buck. who has the better genetics? I don't know, but older bucks breeding more does doesn't equal better genetics.

No, there's been years and years of studies that prove that doesn't work. Plus a lot of deer get killed and left because its one point short or different than they thought.

I wouldn't mind all the archery deer hunts going to a draw. Its headed that way. Every year there's a couple more that are draw only. We need less tags in this state. Quality is down a lot lately.
