OK, if you didn't know, fox, bobcat, and badger season opens tomorrow!!! I am so excited about this.... although i dont plan to hunt foxes or coyotes at least for another month or two. I was wondering if any one of you would maybe want the foxes that my father, my buddies or i take. We have no use for them and don't really want to leave them for the birds... If you want them to skin, stretch, and sell, just let me know. Like i said, i don't want to leave them when someone can use them for their benefit. You obviously can specify to me the conditions in which you want or don't want them (like really crappy hair, or big hole in skin, etc). i do plan on keeping at least my first bobcat, my fathers first bobcat, any badgers, and any lions. AND i will skin them if you'd like, but im not the best with predators. most would likely like to do it correctly, themselves. If you have something negative to say about what i am doing here or anything else, please PM me, don't tear me a new one on a public forum. If you can help me, I/ We would surely appreciate it! Sorry but, I would prefer if you be in Tucson. Also, GOOD LUCK TO ALL ON THEIR DEER/ELK/SHEEP/LOPE/PIG/PREDATOR HUNTS THIS FALL!!!

You know you're addicted to coues when.....
PatrickJr replied to Browning'sCustomMeat's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
when you draw a any antlered deer tag in unit 33 and you haven't ever shot a mule deer (but you've shot 3 coues), your buddy has a great spot muleys, and you still choose to go after the gray ghost! -
DOVE SEASON
PatrickJr replied to elkaholic's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
for us it started off with a lot of misses, but then i moved about 200 yards and we both started to pound them. a lot of missed birds still. we both finished in our 2nd box and we left at 11. birds stopped flying after 1030. i ended up with 10 and my father with 11. we had a ton of fun and i saw 2 huge muleys, i was grabbing for my 22 thinking they were coyotes but they werent so i admired them (until they caught my wind) they were at 75 yards for a few minutes. one was a big 4x4 and the other was a big 3x3. we only lost a pair of birds so that wasnt bad, didnt like it though. hope everyone had a good, safe day and hopefully we can hear of some better experiences next weekend! -
wow, i just got my pair of danners 2 days ago! darn it!

am i a fool to say that i believe that he just has spotting of brown in his hide, and it is not rubbing??? it looks to me like it is just a coloring deal and not a rubbing issue....once again, i know very little.

that is one of the best stories ive read in a while, i am so jealous and yet happy that she got that bull. i cant imagine shooting a bull like that at my age and she is younger than i. you surely should receive the Father of the Year award!!! Its great to have friends that are willing to help kids be successful. I think it is also a great thing that the 2 outfitters mentioned gave her sheds and footage. Not that i think you really cared at the moment, but how are your binos and what were they? i would give up my current binos to have my dad shoot a bull like that!! Congrats again and i hope you are getting it mounted...

i have a taker for fox and bobcats, does anyone wan the coyotes????
-
Fox eat ALOT of quail. there a are a whole slew of guys that flesh, stretch, and sell the furs of bobcats(main one), coyotes, and fox. and there are bobcats and fox all over AZ you just dont see them like you do with coyotes. normally fox live in dens with many other fox, thats why if you call in 1 fox and keep calling, you probably will call in another, or you did and just didnt see it.

I understand that you arent saying that i kill for the sake of doing so. I dont kill just for the sake of killing, if i did, i would have no problem just leaving them in the field. I hunt these predators because they are fun to call in, see, and you have to come into an animals home and outsmart it in order to be successful. i also kill predators because they take a toll on the deer, quail and cattle in the areas i hunt. the rancher (whom i know) asked that we kill every coyote that we see. i don't believe in killing for the sake of killing, you must have a valid reason. hope this helps... thank you but i wouldn't consider myself a "seasoned" hunter, i'm sure most on this site could school me pretty bad...

ive got that same tag! i hope that youve got a good spot, because it sounds like she has high expectations of you (already picking her form and all)... i once fantisized of killing a nice antelope and already was saying how it should be mounted (i had a NM lope tag) well, it created some BAD juju and i missed 1 huge lope with my muzzleloader and never got one. im kinda superstitious.... Muley or coues and feel free to PM me your spot....like i said i have that same tag + a pig tag!!!! haha
