  4. My buddy killed this elk and whitail in Alberta. He is a confined to a wheelchair but let me tell you this guy will do anything to hunt. People say he is handicapped...heck he is just a little challenged. Nothing holds him back. He also has a tag in NM unit 51 for the hadicapped hunt this year. Last year he had a tag in unit 16a and we killed a nice bull on that hunt as well if anyone has any info on this hunt please let me know

    king buck

Dan King is a wonderfull person and a unbelieveable coues deer hunter who has killed several awesome bucks. He just doesn't need to brag about it on a hunting forum. Andy, I did not say that Dan King wasn't a nice guy. Nor do I see Jim on this forum bragging about what he has hammered, I did it for him. Jim is one of the most humble guys I know. But then again this thread has nothing really to do with Jim now does it.

After reading the crap on MM I am pretty disgusted!!! First of all why should a GREAT deer hunter like Jim even have to explain himself? He was not the one who had charges filed on him for POACHING a huge a$$ deer. I am quite sure that was MR. DAN KING. he may or may not have been guilty, this was for the courts to make a decision. He is the one who will have to answer to his maker some day. We should all just let it rest. Those guys on MM are always talking crap!!! In fact I am also quite sure that they(MM gang) are in the habbit of protecting convicted poachers. Look what happened on a recent poaching case in CO. Those guys crucified the messenger. Now this self proclaimed guy "The DeerKing" is back on MM and is all forgiven. I say let this go and lets all move on. I will say that ol' Jim is the best dang coues hunter I have ever seen!!! You should see the sheds that he has, not to mention the 7 all time B&C heads he has hammered. Killing one could just mean you are dang lucky, but killing 7 is just friggin good! I would love to be half as good as him. I am fortunate to have him as a friend!!!
  9. My friend is a very good outfitter in the Gila and is looking for a guide in unit 15. If you are interested send me a PM and I will send you the website and contact number. This is for the archery hunts!!! They had a guide that couldn't make the hunts.

dude a 501c3 status is a charitable organization. SCI, FNAWS, MDF RMEF AND SO ON ARE ALL CHARITABLE!!!! What part of that do you not understand??? The game and fish departments give the tags to these organizations...they they are auctioned off...the buyer doesnt pay the state, they pay the organization which is a 501c3. So if you want to argue at least get you facts in order. Why dont you call them and find out for youeself instead of running you mouth about something you know nothing about I agree that is wrong...why pay for the license if you cant hunt.

yes you can write off money used to purchase raffle tickets and auction tags. This is fact. As long as the organization you are buying from is 501c3 status

your response: Also if they want a tax write off they can donate all the money they want to all the game orginizations. what do you think they are doing? they are donating, they are just getting something in return. The fact of the matter is that there is hard evidence as to how this money is spent. it is public info...call the AZDGF and ask for it. I feel that these tags are great and wish that they would offer a few more.

And yes the wildlife benefit, I have seen this first hand. Have you ever seen a wild sheep trap and transport or relocation. The same goes for mule deer, elkand antelope. relocation is only a small part of it. What about all of the man made drinkers in our hunt units? Who do you think pays for these? ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT THIS IS NOT TRUE?

    Strip Super Raffle Buck

I hear you, but let me assure you that none of the game and fish are driving a new porsche. Secondly they are not selling an animal or its horns, they are selling an opportunity to hunt with NO season. And yes the wildlife benefit, I have seen this first hand. Why is it an issue? The state makes a lot of $$$ for our wildlife . To me that is very important. I don?t care who gets them or who issues them. It is a great way for people to make a tax deductible donation to our game and fish department. I am for wildlife first. I think that we must all see what this money is spent on and how it benefits our wildlife before we make our minds up about who is giving out tags. These tags bring in millions a year through out the west. A portion of it also goes to organizations like SCI, FNAWS, MDF, RMEF & others that do a lot for our wildlife. Why would you have an issue if in the end our wildlife benefit from these dollars?

The general public does have access to these tags as well as the lands. The last time I checked we do live in the great USA. The freedoms we have allow us the chance to make ourselves very rich. it is possible for all of us to make millions of $$$, it just may not be probable. I have had a conservation permit for desert bighorn. I can?t afford to buy one at an auction so I purchased 850 raffle tickets and won the tag. $8500.00 that was pretty cheap if you ask me.
  24. While glassing do any of you guys see many lions in these units?
