Pine grove quite area is good, but the road that surrounds it is a little sloppy. If you can brave the road there are plenty of elk there.

Looks whitetail to me, the brow tine is a little short, but everythings coming off the main beam, not like muley where it forks out.

My best day out in the field was 2 years ago I guided my Dad to his first coues whitetail kill. We spotted his buck first thing in the morning and stalked him for 2 1/2 hours before gettng a shot at him. Money can't pay for times like that.

I think that sometimes your "new" hot spot is someones old honey hole. I for one am not gonna search out the area for salt licks to make sure I dont upset anyone. Just because someone uses salt doesn't mean the area is his, there may be someone past or present who put the time and hard work finding the same place you just found. It's just a chance you take. Tree stands are a little different since they are used mostly by bow hunters and thats a whole different ball game. Work hard hunt hard and wake up early to beat the next guy to your spot. As for this boulder business, you might as well just make a sign saying "DO NOT ENTER, I found an awesome buck in this area". Thanks for the tip buddy!

Rifle first, and If I don't find Big Daddy during the rifle hunt I'll hunt em' with my Bow. If I don't get em' with my bow I'll glass em' to death!!!

I bought a tripod adapter (plastic) and it just isn't working out for me (too much movement). I like the swarovski set up with the straps but cant seem to find a set up like it in town. Swarovski set up is too expensive for my taste, I'm looking for something under $50. Any help would be appreciated.
