How long did it take after you mailed it in?
-
should have given him one more year.

I am in the market for a new release and was wondering which one works best for you. I currently have a Free Flight glove type release. Looking for something that works on a loop instead of connecting directly to the string. Thx.

Thanks Jason I appreciate your input.

Went to cabelas yesterday and picked up a Little Goose. Thanks for all your input, it's an awesome release!
-
I would have given him one more year. Yeah right!! Nice job, it's nice to see someone who put in the hard work get the pay off. Congrats!
-
Thats too funny!

I shot a javelina witha .243 at 30 yds and the bullet did not go all the way through the other side.

Wow those are a couple of big hogs, and yes, nice javelinas too!

Makes me sick to see tose deer fenced in, or as they put it "predators fenced out". And growing antlers is just as sickening. I just don't agree with anyone who goes out and feeds deer junk so they can grow bigger antlers. Why don't you guys just scout/hunt harder, there are enough big deer out there, how are you ever gonna feel satisfied with your "trophy". To me the "trophy" is the hunt itself, sure everyone wants to bag a monster, but if you don't do any work for it how are you gonna get satifaction out of that? I just don't get it. I hunted hard this year and didn't find the buck I was looking for, so I passed on all the smaller bucks I saw and now I look forward to archery season. And even if I don't harvest anything, I still wouldn't trade it for one of them stupid hunts. You might as well just have them shoot it and mount it for you, at least that way you'll save on the airfare which is not provided.

AZ G&F Confused about 1st Amendment
TATAat27 replied to bowsniper's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
It's really a shame, that type of vulgarity is popping up everywhere. I have seen it on bumber stickers heard it in restaurants, at work, and its also of the one reasons I don't watch television anymore. It's ridiculous what society is "allowing" these days. It's turning into a 21st century version of Sodom and Gomorrah if it isn't there already. People have absolutely no respect these days. -
all I can say is WOW

Do your research and buy the very best you can afford. I know a lot of people who buy mid-range price bows every couple of years and never seem satisfied. After you are all set up, shoot, shoot, shoot and then shoot some more. Practice is key. Archery is awesome! Have fun and good luck. By the way, some shops are more helpful than others and don't be discouraged if you run into the "I know it all and dont have time for your silly questions" guy, I seem to run into him from time to time. Customer service isn't what it should be with some people.

What no drop tines? . Congrats once again, my hunt is going rough I think I've glassed up every small buck in 36a, no shooters yet. One more day to go, wish me luck. Any luck finding the Phantom?

Awesome buck Ryan, congrats!

I used to hunt mulies there years back. There is a ranch east of the deer creek road (between bonita and klondyk) you can't walk in through the property but you can walk around it. It's not for the squeamish, but there are some monsters back in there. Also if you take the deer creek road back in a ways you'll see some mountains on the west side i have seen some really nice mullies come outta there. When you first drive up the deer creek rd. there are a lot of nice looking revines, but the deer are pretty scarce and it's tough hunting. I hope this helps, good luck!

I think it's all about respect. If CHD believes in secular humanism, although I don't agree with that theology, he has a right to his opinion. I really don't know what the arguement is here, but It can all be resolved if we just have respect for one another. I believe God belongs in every part of my life, thats the way I live, but I don't believe in beating anyone over the head who doesn't believe the same. I was out in the "world", so to speak, for a lot of years and lived a life that I am ashamed of, but then the Lord came into my life and changed everything. I will never forget where I came from and I know that if God can change me, he can change anyone! Even a person that believes in secular humanism. Now CHD I'm not trying to evangelize, but I am a christian, it's as much of who I am as being a secular humanistic person is to you. I personally think that there are too many christians who talk a good sermon, but don't live one. I am relitively new to this site and I personally haven't seen much of the evangelism that CHD mentioned, a few God bless you's here and there, but nothing to feel pressured to convert to christianity. I have seen a lot of obsenity on this site though, can't anyone speak english anymore? And no substituting special characters for the letters does not change the meaning. If members of this website know there are christians here too, then where's the respect? I hear enough obsenity at work, I shouldn't have to read it on a hunting forum in my own house. It seems you can't go anywhere anymore without hearing or seeing that garbage! I even saw a bumper sticker that said "f you" and yes it had the whole word spelled out. Lets talk about hunting, and respect each other while we do it! Now break out the muley pics!

I'm going to be backpacking for couple days of my hunt and was wondering what kind of food you all normally take. What has worked best/worst for you. Thx for your input Rich
-
How about those dehydrated food packs, are they any good?
-
Wow, that's pretty bold of him. He is totally in the wrong even if he actually was chasing that bull for three hours, just because you see a nice bull doesn't make it yours. If a person is actually stalking a bull or in your case waiting him out, that's a different story. It sounds like this guy is headed for a good ol' country whooping in his future! Theres not much you can do about idiots. I bet he chased "his" bull around the entire hunt and came up empty handed, it doesn't sound like he knew what he was doing.

How do you prevent lense fogging on bino's
TATAat27 replied to royerj1's topic in Optics and tripods
Anytime there is a big temperature difference between you and you bino's you are going to get fogged out. When I hike to my spot, (if I get a late start), I take a few minutes to cool down before putting my bino's to my eyes. Or you can warm up your bino's as previously stated. I usually get to my spot in the dark so I have plenty of time to cool off from the hike, I keep my bino's wrapped up in thick material to keep them warm. The hand warmers sound like an awesome idea too and I think i'll give them a shot. By the way if you can't get those 15 x 56's to quit fogging up, I'll take em'. -

looks really good, awesome job! -
What do you guys use to fight off theses pesky critters? I've been out scouting and the Deep Woods Off for sportsmen spray just ain't cuttin' it . I would just like to know what your experiences with different pest sprays are. Thx, Rich.
