Hey all, hope you are having a happy holiday. I've been promising to post a couple pics on here of my late archery bull from unit 23, & am finally getting around to it. It was a tough hunt as usual, I hunted the first week down around Young as I have a piece of property there & a trvel trailer. Didn't really have time to scout for this hunt which is unlike me but, I guess we all run into that eventually. Didn't see much of anything the first week,& couldn't find any waterholes that were being used consistently. Talked to my buddy Travis who also had the tag, & he had been seeing some up below the rim, so I moved up with him & in a couple days found this guy with 4 other bulls at 7 in the morning. We watched them til they bedded around 10, then drove around to the top of the rim & came down from above. We had spotters guiding us & were able to get this guy at 5:15pm that evening. Then the work began, I would like to thank Travis, Harley & John for all their help. Jed

Great job, & great story. That water fall was pretty cool too. Headed out tomorrow to try & do the same. Jed

Thanks for the comments guys. FYI, I did find two of the pieces he broke off when he fell, but not all of them. Gamehauler, yes I know Travis is bad company(hehe) but look what the result was. I am headed out tomorrow to try & fill my archery deer tag, in 24b for last ditch effort. Jeff, you were with me that day buddy.

Anybody have any advice about archery wt in 24b? since they closed dec. arch here in 22&23 was thinking of trying 24b this december. Any advice would be appreciated. Jed

Have hunted that unit twice, first time it rained then turned to snow, (didn't stick ). Second time was clear & cold but not extremely cold, good luck, Jed

Man Jeff, you almost got me teary eyed! (I luv u man). 13 days of roller coaster rides of emotions as stalk after stalk failed on a bigger buck that Jeff & I both were drooling over. The buck finally headed for private land & better looking does on last morning, so i took off for another area & made two stalks that failed. About to give up & call it a day I decide to give it one more try & took off through the brush , when I came up on a herd of about 20 does & a buck. Feeling sure so many eyes would see me I crept up tp a bush & ranged the nearest one at 63 yds. then suddenly the buck walked out closest to me, I stood & drew at the same time as the sun was going down, & the rest as they say.....
