Pig Saddle model from Shadow Tech, LLC. This was used professionally for 2 yrs and I've since moved on to a better model. Steel construction with broad width adjustment via a large polymer knob on one side. Rubber pads within the saddle protect your rifle and help absorb recoil a bit. Dual tripod mounting holes to accommodate different sized screws. Combined with a sling, this thing is pretty darned solid; I've hit man sized targets out to 600 standing with this. $70 (+$5 if I gotta ship it)

Appreciate the interest, yesterday I was a little frustrated. However, gregaz gave me a call this morning and all is forgiven. Some things a man cannot plan for and prioritization of tasks occurs. This item is SPF to gregaz.

No call, no comms, no PM/text. Back up for sale if anyone's interested.

Since I didn't get drawn you should take me. Ill pack a camp in. Get an elk we'll pack it out on a mule. *Did I mention I know where the bulls hang in 22S?* I'd be interested in that info too: I drew a late 22N tag for the 2nd year in a row and I kinda like the sw edge of the unit.

Gorgeous man, can't wait to get back on the water. I'm headed into CO for 5 weeks in mid-June, back where I belong. That last one's a PIG!!

What is the deal with people literally hating one clothing company or another? Is it arrogance on the part of the individual? Political affiliation? Group think/sheeple? Folks here seem to be pretty tolerant when it comes to, "I dig Kuiu," or "Firstlite is the sh!t." But go to another forum and everyone hates one company or another but loves a specific ONE. I don't really get it. I mean, I understand if its personal preference as in, they've been loyal to a certain manufacturer since the outset, but does that mean anything other than that is crap? I remember starting out in Walls bibs that I found at Walmart. I still have a bunch of stuff in Realtree Advantage and original Mossy Oak Break up. I don't recall anyone dismissing me because I wore that stuff and really, nothing could beat a quilted shirt sitting in a treestand in Dec. Kuiu seems to take a particular beating but I'm addicted to that stuff. Its technologically awesome and last Nov when I hiked 30 miles iin it, it paid for itself within the first 5 miles. I chose my ski parka this winter based on my experience with Dermizax NX, for crying out loud. On the other hand, I love First Lite as well. I think they've got fantastically effective clothing and design and their Fusion camo is pretty much the most effective thing I've seen in breaking up an outline. But that doesn't mean I'm going to be condescending to anyone who doesn't care for either brand. Sorry; rant over. It just got to me reading through threads on another site.

LMAO!!! Dude, I'm trying to do the same thing!

Yeah, that's why I'm asking: I have a Triclawps. PM'd you about it a couple hours ago.

Totally agree. I've been a climber for over 30 yrs and a seemingly minor shoulder injury while bouldering as a 15yr old is whats at the root of the joint replacement I had just over 2 weeks ago. I watched Chouinard Equipment give birth to Patagonia at GPIW in Ventura, 30 min from my house. So the advancements in clothing in that arena has transferred over to the warfighting and hunting/fishing crowds very effectively and I see that in lines like Kuiu and Firstlite. I understand from a different perspective, why certain fabrics and membranes are used; I see the sense in adding strategically placed vents, zip off appendages, and modular design. Its giving me the same versatility and adaptability that I sought 1000' feet up or under a pack and night vision in the palm groves of central Iraq. Function trumps form, all else being equal. And although there is definitely something to be said for one's close game meaning, effective camouflage and sound signature, there is no doubt that 98% of hunting clothing out there is designed to be more effective on the hunter rather than the game.

Bought last fall and assumed I would need a little more space for additional clothing. That turned out to be false. Used on 1 hunt in Nov. No damage/stains whatsoever, no pulls in the fabric, knees and pads show no wear. All zippers are perfect and run smoothly, mesh pockets undamaged. Kuiu Chinook pant, size 34 Verde: Trade for size 32 Verde or Vias / Sell for $150. Would also trade for Alpine pant size 32, Vias only.

Is this Triclawps as in, the tripod shooting saddle?

Sold.

Yeah. For what I use them for the HoG is a better unit.

Maybe this came across the wrong way, I personally wasn't offended. Perhaps my tone in the initial post was the result of whisky and percocet... I just found it somewhat ridiculous that someone else would get bent over what another guy chooses to wear. As if the clothing or camo pattern he prefers somehow makes him less serious. Totally get the giving each other crap about one thing or another but that wasn't it. Total strangers are taking issue with each other over a brand. I've been wearing camoflauge for my entire adult life and in environments far more consequential than whether or not I get busted by an animal. I know what works and the mechanisms behind it. In my opinion, clothing is equipment and if a certain brand happens to capitalize on technology to keep me warmer, drier, more comfortable over a longer period of time while also offering better concealment then, other than cost, I don't see the downside. It doesn't mean I need to take out a 2nd mortgage so I'm kitted out to the extent my condoms are Vias or Optifade but the more critical pieces make sense to have. That doesn't make me a sucker nor does it say a single thing about my hunting skills. Edited to add that confidence plays a huge roll in the game and that goes for all my equipment. If I'm confident in my clothing's ability to do what I'm asking of it, that elevates whatever skills I'm applying on any particular hunt.

Two man 4-season tent with vestibule and footprint. Total floorspace including vestibule is 40sq.ft. Has its door on the long side providing great access, ventilation, and views (one of my favorite features). Lightweight aluminum poles (3 total: 2 long, 1 short) and ground stakes, upper mesh vent and mesh half window on the door. Zero holes or damage, no stains, both tent and vestibule are fully seam sealed. This thing kept me completely dry and safe during one h3ll of a storm last Nov on a ridgeline off Hardscrabble Mesa. I'd estimate winds at 50+mph as it shot up off the rock cliff below me. Never collapsed or leaked; bomber! I paid a total of $600 for all 3 items. Asking $400 FTF or shipped. Black Diamond HiLight tent, vestibule, & footprint
Pac8541 replied to Pac8541's topic in Classified Ads
Yeah, tent and vestibule come in right about there. I generally don't take the footprint unless I really think I'm going to need it. And I've only used the vestibule when I anticipate rain or actually need space to store gear. It was very nice to have last Nov and surprised the heck outta me when it didn't get ripped off the tent in that wind. Most of my use has been the tent by itself and that's about 3.5. -
Good shafts. Those and the Da' Torch shafts seem to have the strictest tolerances among Easton, non-first born arrows. I like a little more mass in my total arrow but I'll bet those shoot great.
-
I'm gonna suggest Easton Carbon Injexions. I've been playing with these and the FMJ Injexions over the last month and I'm very impressed with the CIs. I'll wind up building a dozen of each to shoot when my shoulder gets stronger but just from initial impressions, I'm more sold on these than the FMJs. The 330s are 10.2gr/inch and they seem to shoot more consistently, built identically, than the FMJ.

bvanetten: Great comms, responsive, and not a "tire kicker." Pleasure to do business with.

Hey folks. Selling the below items while recovering from shoulder surgery. This was purchased new from Kifaru in 2014 and used on 1 unsuccessful elk hunt and a 4 day fly fishing trip to Yellowstone. All of it is completely undamaged, no stains, and nothing has been cut, removed, or modified from its original state other than the addition of a small amount of OD spray paint. This may scrub out if you're so inclined but there isn't a lot of it so it may not even be worth the effort. It works INCREDIBLY well and I'm only selling because I plan to replace it with another Kifaru before Nov. Duplex hunting frame, 24" composite stays, normal back profile, size med belt, CB: $275 FTF, +shipping if need be. XTL lid, 600ci, drawstring skirt around the edge, CB. $50 FTF, +$5 shipped. Camp bag, 4800ci, bi-directional center zip, roll top closure w/SR buckle, Foliage green. $70 FTF, +$5 shipped. I would definitely prefer to sell to someone here rather than Rokslide or the Kifaru forum sites. Folks here seem to be more down to earth and I like that we all work together towards the same goals as opposed to someone from out of state that knows what's best for you. I can't say enough about Kifaru's quality and commitment. I've used their gear for 20 yrs including multiple trips overseas and in some of the harshest environments possible. While those days are over for me, my trust in the product is unwavering. There are few companies I can say that about.

SOLD, thanks Bruce!! Camp bag still available if anyone is interested in that.

QC Rd/Ellsworth is the closest major intersection. Probably gonna go with something like the Argali or Markhor. Had a Pointman when I deployed in '04 and have a Zulu now. Good packs but you can't beat the external frame for hauling weight. PM me and I can meet you as early as tonight or whenever but I will be listing this on Rokslide later this evening.

Being in that area is like having a bipolar mistress. I feel like that everytime I get back HOME!

Last Nov I started my hunt in an area at the corner of my unit and other than tanks there wasn't any water source I could find that didn't require descending very steep and rocky canyons daily. I hauled all my water in for 4 days, on day 1. That pack wound up somewhere around 70lbs and my saving grace was the knowledge that it was only 3 miles from the truck to where I planned to make camp. A good pack pays for itself in that very moment and I can't say enough about Kifaru's Duplex frame. Two months prior I was 9 miles in on a small creek in CO chasing cutties. That 3 day trip had me hauling 25lbs in a 1800ci. pack with no frame. Lighter is definitely better, unless you gotta haul heavy sh!t then those extra ounces, maybe a pound and a half in a beefy frame, make ALL the difference in the world. $376 for a pack frame and no bag? Yup. Right then and there.
