I get asked that question alot!!! The 2 non typicals had not ever been seen by any of us (not on any game cams either) until they were shot. Either nocturnal and stayed in heavy cover or were traveling looking for does. Both bucks were very similar with mine being taken 4 yrs ago and jj's taken 2 yrs ago. Looks like the genes may have been passed on. Nmhunter

some KY bucks off of our farm and the adjoining farm (900 acres)the last several years have been very good!!!these are all family members and a couple are first time hunters. the last picture is the largest non-typical we have taken off the farm, it is a 18 pt (eastern count) that scored 191 B&C. Non off of the back porch. I have taken a few cull deer from the front porch at mt daughters, they are competing with her horses for the alfalfa in the winter. not hunting just game preservation, way to many deer in her area and way to many vehicle incidents with the deer won' post those pictures, nothing to brag about nmhnter

Nice deer Pat,thx for the pics. Not all deer taken out of AZ come off the back porch though (there are some). What will get your heart pumping is a 190class non-typical walking into range,some how the thought of staying calm goes out the window. Seen lots of coues pics. Would like to see any or all. North south east or west, they are all whitetails, just some bigger than others! Love huntin them wherever i can Nmhunter

I have AE and Mil-Dot ballistics on my I phone, I also have the original version of Exbal on a palm pilot and desktop. have used all three but really like the AE for hunting use, (I also have a print out for the drops just in case of battery failure). nmhunter

get the best glass you can afford, poor glass will give you headaches if used over a long period of time. One other thought is a fixed power spotter, I have picked up three Leupold armored 20 Power fixed spotters over the the last few years, they still have a lifetime warranty ( gold ring) and one of them was a Marine corp sniper issue , it has a MOA grid cross-hair. very light weight and easy to pack. I found these on one of the hunting forums. tom

FT/lbs 1405 @ 350 yds. velocity over 1900 fps. with 180 gr nosler. my max range for me with a solid rest is 350 yds. the longest big game animal ( elk size & larger)taken was an Oryx in NM at 255 yds ranged. antelope and deer have been taken further out than the the 350 limit for elk. nmhunter
