6.5-06 AI or .280 AI? What would YOU build?

What did you decide and are all the parts at PCR? -
Has anyone tried loading 130 to 140 gr bullets in the 6.8 SPC ?

Have you looked at the Barnes bullets for the 6.8? This is for the 95 gr. TTSX they also make a 110 gr. bullet. The 6.8 SPC makes an interesting cartridge for the AR platform. Maybe even perfect? First you need to decide what type of hunt you want. 1)Rifle, bow, muzzle loader 2) Do you like the High country, or the low cedars. Some of the units in Colorado have 11,000 to 14,000 foot peaks all the way down to the low cedar country. If there isnt any snow there is little migration and you must be willing to find the deer or seek out pockets of resident deer in the low country (tons of hunters). I hunted a unit in 2004 on a leftover tag and packed in 8 miles, the guys camped above me had 5 mules. It stormed real hard right before the hunt but without any snow this area is void of deer and you must hunt a lot higher.

Project "Long Range Loaner" Load Development

The last rifle I loaded out came back rusted and broken. -
They are thin plastic. IMHO you are better off with the large metal ammo boxs when they go on sale for 12.00 dollars.

I just bought a bonus point since my son and I drew an elk tags in AZ. I should be at 100% draw odds for next year.

Thanks for the heads up!

Most dealers have a list of FFLs for you to choose from within your zip code (AT CHECKOUT), I use Bell rd pawn they are close and only charge $15. Some FFl dealers want you to call and let them know a firearm is being shipped to them. Bell rd Pawn wont send their FFL until the sending dealer gives them a call to confirm they are a Licensed dealer, then they will email it to them without issue. If your FFL is listed on the dealers web site (FFL ON FILE) the gun will ship without any delay or phone call.

I havent seen one from the factory. I bought my PC shield from Grabagun for 389. The trigger alone is worth the extra money to me, but I hear the newer shields have a better trigger than the earlier models.

Just curious, have you shot the PC Shield in low light? Wondering if the ported barrel flash would be blinding enough to cause a problem with your vision? Yes I have shot it and no it doesn't affect your vision, you wont notice its ported. The muzzle blast is dispersed in a large V but the angle is much wider. If you make it up to the north end of Phoenix you can shoot mine. I put over 500 rounds and 7 different types of ammo through it without single FTF or FTE. As far as it being louder I havent noticed since I practice with ear muffs/plugs. I dont believe you will notice any added volume during a defensive situation. Just like hunting you dont notice the recoil or the noise when things happen real fast.

Buy it! If I didn't have a Smith & Wesson 1500 in 300 mag I already would have said yes to this!!! They arebshooters for sure without spending 1000 to get them to do so I would and thats a good price, but I have a Howa 1500 Stainless Steel 300 win.
-
Is it brand new or gently used? I like the Howas they are great shooters.
-
I would go to Ross and take a look at their used bow rack or last years model.
-
Its not a joke!

When you buy the pistol online several retailers dont add any tax. (The ones listed above) And if you ship to Bell rd. pawn the transfer fee is only 15 dollars.

The trigger on the PC Shield is really nice, no grit just a smooth trigger and its reset is tactile. The ported barrel is also nice when using the heavier bullets. I love mine!
