Do you like the Hawkins Tactical rings better then Seekins? The Seekins are known to be nice and straight, but I like the level on Hawkins rings.

I dont know where they live but you will get excellent traning at Arizona defensive firearms training. James is really good with people. He has been training Phoenix officers for the last 9/10 years, and has 29 years with them. After they get training the best practice for them is to shoot steel. http://www.azccw.com/

You could have taken either. The frontal shot would travel length wise most likely completely through. I have shot coyotes with a 243 that traveled 99% of body with a frontal shot. (100 gr.)

I sold my replaceable blade knife, they have no back bone so you cant feel what the knife is doing or where the blade is.

This one is from Randy Newberg he is an avid elk hunter. I fold the hide over and out flat, and de-bone it right there on the hide, its fairly clean, then place the meat into separate bags. Each quarter gets its own bag. You can also bone it out without taking the quarters off. First trip out is my gear, head, and loins. I am normally way to far in to carry out hide or bone. Good luck on your hunt.
