The Bell & Carlson Medalist Stock is ***SPF***

I grew up in a very rural area, so we cut a lot of firewood. One summer my dad and his friend cut 300 cord of wood, I was the one who pulled, burned, split and stacked all the wood in our yard, I was 15 years old at the time. All they ever used were Stihl chainsaws, he never had any problems with them.

You would do well armed with a electronic caller and a ground blind, don't forget the fawn decoy.

2, 5, and 6 are still for sale.

I wear hunter orange on my rifle hunts even if its not required. When I was in my early 20s I drew a high country rifle tag, an old road used as a fire cut followed the base of the mountain which was about 3/4 of a mile up from the valley floor. I used this to access the remote basins above, I was about 400 yards above the fire break when I hear a woman screaming big buck, long story short I was the big buck, and lucky for me her husband was within a few feet of her and slapped the gun straight to the ground before she fired the rifle. Camo clothing dont help much on a rifle hunt anyway. Animals see movement before color.

Solid copper bullet better performance on larger animals or smaller coues?
452b264 replied to apache12's topic in Long Range Shooting
With the solid copper bullets you don't have to aim for bone, but they will penetrate both shoulders of very large animals. The last hunt I had was a mule deer hunt, the bullet didn't hit any bone punched straight through both lungs at about 300 yards, and left a 1.5 in. exit, the animal drop at the shot. I do try to aim for the shoulders though, these bullets don't blood shot the meat like cup and core bullets do. -
I'm going to leave this up for a week, if it doesn't sell I'm going to take it apart.

Are you in need of 22 lr ammo for hunting or target shooting?
-
Anyone need 264 WIN. Ammo for deer season? If someone takes both boxs, you can have the brass.

All my outdoor clothing wicks moisture, and dries quickly. I use wool socks, and under armor base layer, make sure you don't use cotton underwear. for pants Cabelas micro Tex, or 5.11, I also have a non-insulated pair of gore-Tex fleece pants for sub-zero weather. I use a micro-tex or a fleece shirt, a fleece vest or jacket or both depending on the weather, and my outer layer is Cabelas MT050 rain gear, I love this rain gear. Their Rain Suede Dry Plus is also good, but not the equal of mt 50, and gore-tex insulated or wool gloves. Most of this gear came from their bargain barn. It works from 75 down to -10 in Colorado and I haven't felt the need to up grade any thing. One item most people don't use are gaiters, Outdoor research Gore-Tex gaiters are the ones I have, but if they don't go up to just below the knee I wont use them. You can hunt in jeans and be drier, and warmer than the guy with the most expensive gore-Tex pants and no gaiters. As the temperature drops your pants will freeze solid without gaiters. As for boots I have Cabelas older Canadian hunter insulated, for heavy backpacking in rough steep country these have few equals. Cabelas is having a sale on base layers right now. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Home/Base-Layer-Sale-Pre-Season%7C/pc/105625080/c/109933380/Cabelas-Mens-MTP-Medium-Weight-Crew-150-Regular/731105.uts?destination=%2Fbrowse.cmd%3FcategoryId%3D109933380
