Hello, this may be a little more than you want to send, but I have two of the full size models and both shoot 5 shot groups at 100 yards you can cover with a 50 cent pc, right at an 1 in. when I do my part, and this is with hunting ammo the guns like. I mentor for youth hunts and one of the kids had one of these, and did very well, making shots out to 109 yards using a cabelas scope, with a yardage turret. They are an exceptional firearm nothing on the gun is cheap, they dont have extractor problems, bolt issues, poor stocks etc. you wont find a better quality 22 lr for the money, and they feel very solid when handling them since the receivers and bolt are milled from solid steel, they also have hammer forged barrels. They only come as a single shot but accept any CZ 452 magazine, which are also top quality. I like the polymer magazines the best. The company below is also very good to deal with. Good luck. http://www.kygunco.com/cz-452-scout-22lr-single-shot-rifle-162-barrel-beechwood-stock-43774

What grain for 30-06?
452b264 replied to backcountry_brad's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
The 200 gr. Partition also works extremely well if your gun will shoot them accurately. I also like the 168 gr. TTSX, they penetrate about the same. -

Free Reloading Bench / Water Softeners for trade

If no one has picked up the reloading bench I will take it? -
The above aren't different tactics, just increased safety while hunting alone, you are very vulnerable when sitting eye level to a large predator. By using an electronic caller when hunting alone the predator isn't focused on your location, only the caller.
-
The trigger is for my sons rifle it has a 9 pound trigger. I'm not brand loyal If it shoots I'm happy.
-
After my experience, I now use an electronic caller, and I sit on a small chair or I stand up with my back against a tree or rock etc, and the rifle rested on my shooting sticks when ever I go calling alone.

The hunt was 7 years ago!

Being in the middle of a pause of the calling sequence may have kept her from attacking me out right. I don't sit on the ground while calling any more, ever. This has happened to a friend of mine twice. One of those lions charged at a full run and he made the shot at 7 feet.

No 11 miles, this means I'm sane!

After paying a gunsmith to do a trigger job, you can buy a timney and have a safer trigger (Better Trigger). A slightly used timney can be had for $75.00 or so, a gunsmith wants 100 to 150 for a trigger job. An aftermarket trigger is the better option for myself.

Nope good to go, but my adrenaline was pumping so hard I had the shakes after the fact. Yes there is a picture around here somewhere. I will have to scan it, and post it later.

Bowfit Upper-Body Exerciser - Anybody have one?
452b264 replied to naturegirl's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I had a room mate a long time ago who was a bow hunter, I bought his old bow from him, and we set up a target at the end of a long hallway inside the house and placed stuffed animals that the love of his life gave him on the target. One day she stopped by to visit him and caught us red handed, it didn't go over well, but it sure was good practice during foul weather.
