We ended up with about 2 pounds of halibut cheeks! Looking forward to them! We fried some halibut for lunch today and it was unbelievable!

We caught all of the Reds on a 3 way rig with a streamer. As far as the Kings, it varies depending on which part of the kenai, but mostly back trolling. The stars were kind of aligned, it was a strong run of kings, they were open for bait fishing, and they were open for catch and keep!

Between my dad and I, we brought back 100 lbs, between our whole group, about 6-700!

I killed a bull near springer 2 years ago. The dates were October 5-12th rifle. Unbelievable rutting, fighting, and shear quantities of elk. Good luck! It was on the UU bar cattle ranch. Look em up. I did the management bull.

Buy an inner tube, and kick it out there. I did that for a few years before investing in a kayak.

Flaming gorge for shear variety of fish

I went out on Friday to willow springs. I started trolling a blue fox #2 with a mini diver out of my kayak, and after paddling about 1/4 mile, I marked a fish on my fish finder, 5 seconds later, I had a 12 inch rainbow on the line. I preceded to paddle all the way down the arm, back around the horn and down the other arm (almost 2 miles of paddling) before marking another fish. I caught that fish as well, 10 inch tiger trout. I continued trolling that shoreline until I had marked and caught my limit of fish. 2 rainbows and 4 tigers. Every fish I marked.... I caught, it was actually quite impressive, this being the first time I used my new fish finder I installed on my kayak! It was very sparse with low densities of fish, I'm assuming they were taken out of the lake pretty quickly over memorial weekend. Those tigers sure are cool though, with a heck of a lot of slime, and sharp little teeth. Got home, gutted them, vacuum sealed, and will cook em up next week!

Yeah it blew my mind

Don't hunt south or west. 3 tags early rifle last year that I tagged along on..... Hunted 5 days fully guided.... Won't say by who because they sponsor this site. Hiked SOOO SOOO long and far every day, glassed our eyes out and we're almost bored to death. We heard 1 bugle the ENTIRE TIME and that's the bull we killed, small 6x6. Didn't see or hear any other elk the entire time. The guide told us the previous 2 weeks the archery Hunter had only seen a small group of elk. 10 is going to crap. I would stick closer to the 7w area if I were you. It was HORRIBLY BORING AND HOT. Don't hunt south or west. I could not believe some people wait almost 20 years to hunt there..... I would rather have 6a late rifle after my experience with it...... Don't forget..... We were FULLY GUIDED! By a reputable outfitter!

I submitted my papers to serve a full time mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and set my availability date for August 4th. I only applied for a bonus point. Turns out, my father and mother both drew 6a early archery tags with 0 points!!!! Im ecstatic for them, but I definently wouldn't have minded being out there with them!! If I had known that, I might have postponed a month, however, it's for a good cause and I couldn't be more excited to go out! Maybe when I get back I'll get a tag with my 9 points I'll have!!
