    What's he score?

My first thought, before I looked at the other opinions, was between 76-78 and it looks like a good estimate based on the other scores. He has good mass, and would be a great trophy. Don't hesitate to Take him if you get the chance.
  2. That is one beautiful rifle. Wish I had the extra $$

I am looking for a older 24 to 27 foot long motorhome to use for camping and hunting. I'm looking to spend between 4 to 8 thousand dollars. Anybody know of someone selling something like this? Thanks

    Colt 1911 Made in 1917

Don't know if anyone is a collector but, I have a colt 1911 made in 1917. It has the US Property markings, the original Colt wooden grips, and when I bought this it came with a really old magazine, but I don't know if it is original as it has no markings. (The early Colts didn't have markings on the magazine.) I'm no expert but the research I've done shows that the slide and barrel are replacements. These were most likely done in the field because there are no arsenal rebuild markings on the trigger guard. Ive seen these sell on Gunbroker for over 2500.00 dollars in worse shape then this one. I am not the best photographer and would be happy to show you this in person if you are interested. I'm asking for 2200.00, or perhaps a trade toward a camping trailer or older motorhome.

    Colt 1911 Made in 1917

The serial number is 173xxx. It is from before the "BLACK ARMY" 1911's from WWI.As IA Born said it is almost sacred to hold and imagine what history is associated with this pistol. I can only imagine the journey it has been on, and the sights it has seen I hate to sell but it is a SAFE QUEEN, and I am Simi-retiring and can us the money to take some trips with the Wife and Dog.

Beautiful buck. And the best part was you actually experienced a hunt with your sons, and not a foot race for a "Book Buck". Well done

    muzzle loader question

I have shot and hunted elk since 1978 with muzzleloaders. Used to use 90 grains of real 2FF black powder, pushing a 220 grain lead round ball that we cast from lead bars. Believe it or not these old precussion cap side locks worked great, and could shoot 2-3 inch groups with open sights. Now days I use 2 triple 7 pellets, pushing the Barnes MZ 250 grain expenders in my Thompson Center Omega. We Have shot 2 bulls with this load and I cant say enough about Barnes. I shoot them for everything I hunt, and have never had a failure of any kind.

2008 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited Rubicon 4DR

Might have been easier on you to sell the wife. You can get a new wife, but a sweetheart like that jeep is one of a kind. Tough choice

    Guess Again

Wow that is a tough one. Mass is what makes the score, and he has it. But length and prongs are not the best. Blackest horns I ever saw. 78-82 guess.

    Texas Hog Hunts

Big or Bust, Sounds like your brothers place is " Right up the Ally " I'm not in a position to do a hog hunt this year, but would love to hear about how Hangemhighwhitetails ranch works out for the rest of you so I can plan a hunt next year. If were going to hunt hogs, it would be nice to support our fellow members. sounds like a square deal

    Antelope score?

That is a shooter for sure. About as good as a antelope gets, In 50 years when your great grand kids are looking at that mount they will remember their granddad and what a great hunter he was, and how lucky grandpa was to be hunting in the "good old days " not the score

What would you guess this scores?

Maybe 88 When do we get the answer??

    AR purchase help

Check out the website AR15.com. They have a forum on building your own AR with very helpful info as to where to get the best parts, parts on sale, answers to build questions, ect I studied and read up about building my own on this site and it helped me a lot. But be careful because once you build one it becomes habbit forming. Good Luck

    Surprise antelope tag!!!

The Perkins ranch is charging a trespass fee for access, and because of that they are very careful about watching for trespassers. The deep well ranch allows foot access and in 19A is east of highway 89a and extends to the railroad tracks. Permission is granted, but I would check in with the ranch house as a courtesy, and to thank them for the access. #1 tip, get the landowner chip for your GPS, I have been told more then once that I was on private land by the Perkins when in reality the chip showed differently. It is well worth the money just to avaid a fine
  23. I know everyone is on Pins And Needles about the draw. I have been following the "Card hit 2016" thread and it goes all over the map. Can we use this thread to concentrate on when we really do see some cards hit? Please no " i heard it from a friends uncles 2nd cousin stuff, just confirmed hits Thanks

Boquillas new rules / permit structure out

It is a state wide tag right? The big Bo isn't the only place with big lope. Maybe try the other A+ units. The rest of 10, 5bn, 9, 18a+b, ect, plenty of options and you have the next 5 months to get it done. Good Luck ,

    Land access

Flatlander is correct. The deep well in 19-B is accessed by foot for no fees. My Son Ryan got a nice buck off that ranch 4 years ago. The Campbell ranch up north is part of this unit and for a while Chad Smith was guiding there, but I heard that he wasn't welcome any longer, so you might try talking with them about access. There is also the "Mini-ranchs" south of 40 that hold antelope, but buy the Az GPS chip with private / public boundries. Even after you draw a tag there is no easy answer. Try unit 9, lots of public land and less pressure. Good luck
