&*%$ trail camera thief's strike again
Big Browns replied to Big Browns's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Mike the problem is I cant actually see the camera in the guys hands. If I could I would post the pics. I dont want to miss blame someone. The first camera was on MT Ord in between the two springs neer the first right turn and this one was in another area. I'm so tired of working everyday to make a living and to only have some jerk not only steel my camer, but take the fun away from this amazing sport. -
Well I have a really nice Buck comming into my salt lick. So needless to say I will be spending every chance I get in the stand. My question is what do you guys feel is esential to have in the stand with you. I'm planning on taking several books, food, water, a small video game, scent spray, and I'm probably going to load some books on tape on an IPOD. What do you guys do about having to go to the bath room? I know it's not everyone's favorite subject, but it's very important. Thanks.

I was planning on just having one ear plug in my left ear that way I can still here, and I can still draw my bow back if need be. -

Here's another view -
Well I put a brand new Camera up last weekend. I went to check it today and It's gone. I'm pissed, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I got a picturew of them. I had 2 camera's at the same spring to get photo's of different trails. I'm not going to post a pic of the person, but I will be there opening morning to settle the score. I know you guys want to see them, but I want to settle this personally. I cant believe a fellow hunter would steel another hunter's camera. What a $%&* Head.

Just wondering if any of you guys have seen any Antelope in 18b lately. I'm helping a friend in the area who has an archery tag. I've only been in the area one time and dont really know whare to look. If any of you could help point us in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Plus Larry is to LAZY to go scouting. LOL HA HA HA

That's probably where he's going to hunt, but he want's to atliest check out 18b before he commits to 10. We have both herd of nice bucks comming from 18 in the past, so I think it's worth a day's drive. If you guys have any idea's on 10 I'm sure he would appreciate it. Sorry for the e-scouting, but I dont have to much time to help him and I dont know of a better bunch of guy's to ask. I'm not asking for any secrets, just a push in the right direction. Thanks again.

To bad you killed in January. I cant wait to stick him. Wish us luck guys! It must be karma. Sunday I got my new camera stolen and today I get pic's of a nice buck. Yepeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Yes there are Coues in 20c. I saw several north west of Yarnell. I only saw 1 Buck, but I saw several does. The Bradshaw's actually have a pretty good Coues population. A friend killed a nice 8 point last year. Good luck.

Your a lucky SOB. Horn Grinch!

Well I checked my salt lick last weekend and it's getting hammerd. Therefore I put a camera on it today. I tried putting a camera on it last August, but the camera stopped working after 2 days. Hopefully I get some good pictures, even better a monster coues buck. I cant wait for Fall. Anyone else starting to scout yet?

Dont worry I respect everyone's opinion's on this site, even though I do disagre with you. I've compared my brunton's with the Nikon Monarch's in the field. My Brunton's were way better. The Brunton's were able to sustain the light out side for longer period's of time as well. I'm not saying the Nikon's arent good, because they are. I just feel the Brunton's are better. I would still go with the Swar. , but if you dont have the money atliest try out several pairs of bino's before deciding. Please dont take offense, it's just my 2 cents.

Welcome to CWT. If you can afford the Swarovski's do it. If you can't you should consider the Brunton Eternia 15x51's. I have the Eternia 11x45 and the 15x51. They are great. I can free hand the Brunton's easier than I can the Swarovski's. They aren't as bright as the Swarovski's, but for the price you cant beat them. best of luck.

It's Hot, boring and nothing to hunt. I cant wait for August. I cant wait to go hunting again. Anyone else tired of the summer duldrums?
-
Well I guess I should have elaborated more on why I hate summer. I dont like it, Because I love to hunt Deer, Pigs, Elk, Antelope and Bear. Dont get me wrong I like hunting Rabbits, coyotes and I will hopefully kill a lion this year, but they dont get my heart racing like the others. To me there is something special about the first hunt come the end of summer or beginning of fall. dont get me wrong. I love to fish. I go almost every weekend. I love to go shed hunting, even thought I sucked this year. I probably scout more than most people. To me there is just something so special about the big game season. I dont know how to explain how I feel. I guess I just miss being out hunting and helping people. For example this last season I was out either hunting or helping people every weekend from the begining of November untill the end of January. I'm not joking, every weekend. So now that Turkey and horn season is comming to an end I'm missing the weekend trips. Plus it's to HOT!

I think Bass Pro has the best fishing section out of all 3. Sportsman's has the best fly tying section and Cabela's has a better hunting section. Just my 2 cents. Bass Pro is huge isn't it. I was pretty disapointed with there Aquarium. I do think it's easier to find things at Bass Pro, unlike Cabela's, especially in the fishing secton. Sportsman's still has them both beat when it comes to the ease of finding things and there quicker to get in and out of.

Universal trail camera kit
Big Browns posted a topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Im thinking about getting my first Trail Camera, but Im not sure what to get. Im leaning toward the Universal Digital Trail Camera Kit that uses the olympus D360L by Pixar. Does anyone have any expierance with this kit or any advice on another kit or camera that would be better to get. Thanks guys I really appreciate the help. Adam -

A friend and I went scouting yesterday for the upcoming Archery Deer hunt. Neither of us expected to see anything out of the ordinary, but we were wrong. We found 3 deer that by our estimates will all be record book Deer. We think the biggest will go well over 100 if not around 110. Of course it's hard to tell at this point, but they were huge, lots of mass and alot of growth. 2 4x4's and 1 3x3, all we could say when we saw the big one was HOLY #@$% that's a TODE. We also saw 2 small Muley bucks. Before this weekend I wasn't sure whare I was going to spend my time in September, I know now.

I spent alot of time this past January during the archery hunt. I spent most of it west of sunflower and west of MT. Ord. We didn't see much. We saw most of our deer around Payson, North West of Rye. If I were you I would go higher around Payson. If you need any more help feel free to give me a call and I will try to point you in the right direction. Adam (928)595-1554

What animal are you looking for? Whitetail or Coues deer?
