"WANTED" Slick Pro 634CF Carbon Fiber Tripod
Big Browns replied to Big Browns's topic in Classified Ads
Thanks for the info on the Tripod Head. I'm really excited to get the legs in my hand. I have been using the Manfroto 3001BN Tripod with the pistol grip. It weighs almost 7 pounds. The new set up will be almost 5 pounds lighter depending on wich head I put on it. Did you buy the same tripod yet? If so what head are you using and how do you like the tripod? Adam -
I know this is a long shot, but I would really like to find a used Slick Pro 634CF Carbon Fiber tripod. If you have one please let me know. I would also be willing to look at a Carbon Fiber Manfroto Tripod. Adam 928-595-1554

I agree that we(Hunters)should do our best to harvest mature animals. With that said, If I have a tag and an opportunity at a Lion (female, male or yearling) I will do my best to kill it or scare the crap out of it. Any Lion in my opinon is a true TROPHY! Way to go! Congrats on a great TROPHY!

I used the Havalon Piranta last year on a Coues Deer for the first time. Since then I took out all my other knives and now I only carry 1 Havalon Piranta with spare blades. 1 multi purpose knife for taking of the blades and general field maintenance. I was able to reduce my pack by almost 3 pounds by taking out all my other knives. I used to carry 3-5 knifes just in case. I've had to skin animals with dull knives. I will hopefully never have to do that again. The Havalon knives are very sharp and extremly light. I will always have one in my pack.

I saw a picture on G&F website today that had a 537 Bull that they said was the new State Record. Does anyone have any more info on this Bull? I would love to see some better pictures and hear about the Hunt.

I will be hunting by myself in 36B in November. Is there a hotel near by that I could stay at? I don't feel very comfortable camping in that area by my self. Thanks for any info. Adam 928-595-1554

I would really like to have a rhino to hunt with and take my kids out 4 wheeling, but I just don't have that kind of extra money to spend on a toy. I am intrested to see what some of you guy's are using in place of a side by side. I have a quad, but I really want something that I can take the whole familly with. I am leaning toward a Jeep Wrangler or a Bronco II. I could trailer it to and from my hunting spots. Bronco II's are really cheap, but there dangerous. Jeep Wranglers are a little more money, but they are much safer. What do you guy's suggest?

I am looking for a reasonably priced semi auto shot gun for sale. I dont really care about how the gun looks, but it needs to function well. I'm looking for a beater gun for Duck and Qual hunting. I'm on a budget so the cheaper the better. Thanks, Adam

Have you spent any time glassing at first light and late afternoon hours? When I scout a new area my first objective is to find 5-6 new glassing spots and spend at liest 1 morning and evening at each spot. Some spots are better in the morning or evening. Usually this system works great for me. Once I find several spots that I'm seeing lots of Deer in I start breaking down that area more by hiking the general area. I can tell you that 36b has a lot of Deer and a lot of very good glassing spots. I usually like to glass for the first 3 hours in the morning and start glassing around 2pm in the afternoon, but don't be affraid to glass in the mid day period. Coues like to water from 10-2pm. That can be a really good time to see them walking around. Hope this helps. Adam
