Dan has been a great help. He was able to answer all of my questions. I would really like to talk to anyone else who has gone on this hunt. The more info the better. It sounds like a really challenging hunt with a good chance for a large Bull.

I've never been a fan of Los Dos in Springerville. Service sucked and the food was not very good!

I just called the number Amanda posted. They have a few tags left for next year for the second hunt(April 26-May11). The tag is $254.80 and is for Unit A,B and C.

Does Apache or San Carlos offer any Elk tags that I can purchase for Cow or rag horn Bull? I would really like to get a tag for my son. I would also like a tag, but my son would be the priority. Do I have to hire a guide? Thanks for any info, Adam

Not my spot, but It's been there for years. I first found it over 5 years ago. I havent checked it in a few years, but I've always thought it would be good for Elk, Deer and Bear. Adam

I'm thinking about going this year, but funds are really tight. I helped some friends last year, but I did not hunt myself. It's been a few years since I've hunted there for myself. I think it's time to go back. We got into them last year, but they would not come in all the way. It seemed a lot tougher than years before. Might be fun to put a CW camp togeather! Adam

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY HATE SNAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a feeling that I might see one on the trip, but after walking around for hours without seeing one I forgot about them. That was untill I herd this one rattle from 10 yards away. Thankfully it was a Mojave and not a Diamondback. Mojave's are know for letting you know quicker than Diamondback's. They both are very scarry!!!!

I'm planning on taking the kids fishing this weeke after work. I was thinking about going to Val Vista Lakes for some Catfish and Carp. It's been a long time since I've fished there so I was wondering how the cat and carp fishing has been there recently? I used to catch a lot of carp there in the past! Any one fish there recently? Last night I took the family fishing at Val Vista Lakes. The fishing was really slow. We fished from 6pm-8:30pm. We caught the only 2 fish at 8pm. My son caught a Catfish at the same time my wife hooked a Carp. It was a little crazy for a few minutes. The Catfish was a small 1 pounder, but my son was really happy. While I was un-hooking the Catfish my wife was having a blast trying to land the Carp. She and my Son were laughing, because of all the confusion. I tried to get her hold the fish for the picture, but she wasn't about to get her hands stinky:) It was a fun night. We used Bread, Corn, Hot dogs and Power Bait Catfish Bites. The 2 fish were caught on Corn.
