FINALLY UPDATED WITH PICS!! Anybody near Mesa airport want to make a quick reward?
Big Browns replied to yotebuster's topic in The Campfire
I had some serious doubts I would be able to get the cape, but I knew I had to try. If it was my cape I would want someone to help me out. When I got to the ticket counter it was empty. I didn't know what I was going yo do. Then a worker walked by. Thats when I started sweet talking & begging for info on the cape. She made a phone call to another worker. Then she went behind the counter and brought out the cooler with the cape. I was SHOCKED! I couldn't believe I actually got it. I think I was more excited then Ben was. The cape is now safe & sound in my freezer. Love helping out a cw member!!!! Adam- 43 replies

show low second knoll range approved
Big Browns replied to biglakejake's topic in Long Range Shooting
I was hoping they would build a 500+ yard range. The range will be very nice, but Arizona really needs more 500+ yard public ranges! Adam -
That's a few minutes I will never get back.......................

We had a fantastic Dove season! Even though this years season was a lot slower than the past couple of years we still had a lot of fun. This year I was able to convince my wife & Brother in law to come hunt with us. This was his first time my brother in law has hunting. He's hooked! He did great for a beginer. He was able to kill birds every time he went with us. A few night's ago he brought his 2 kids with him. They had a blast! I think we will have 2 more hunters in a few years. My son has been having a lot of fun. Last night he was very excited, because as we drove up we were seeing a lot of birds. He hasn't been able to get a limit this year. He really wanted to get a limit of birds before the season ended. After a few hours of hard work he finally did it! He was able to get his first limit of 15 birds. I finished with 11 & my brother in Law got 6. It was a great ending to the first Dove season. Adam

I hunt/scout alone a lot, but not because I like it. It's not always possible for a hunting partner to join me on a hunt. If I had to wait for someone to come with me I would hardly get to hunt. I hunt alone out of necessity. If I had a choice I would hunt with someone every time. Why? I like to be around friends. I need the companionship. Plus I get easily spooked or scared when I hunt alone. That's been my number 1 reason I don't kill 100% of the time. I allow myself to get spooked or scared. When that happens I usually don't go as far in as I know I should, or I leave earlier than I know I should. Simply, I don't have the mental strength to hunt alone deep into the woods. I can handle simple day hikes, but spending the night alone is not for me. I really wish I could. I’m sure I would be much more successful if I could handle deep solo hunting. I'm currently working on becoming stronger, but until then I much prefer hunting with someone.

Have the kid talk to the prosecutor to plead down the charge to community service. This is what I did on a similar charge a few years ago. I learned a lesson. Always pick up your shells when hunting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Adam
