    Deadline for Colorado fall draw

You don't need a spread sheet. Just get the point hunter app. It sends you reminders for draw deadlines and keeps track of your points.

Wyoming is the same. They don't tell you how many Antelope tags there will be until after the draw opens. Adam

    New Long Range rig

You should ALWAYS verify your data at 100,300,500,700,1000 yards before you order a custom turret. All the good balistic shooting programs have 'Range Validation" built into the system. This allows you to change or update your true balistic info after testing it. Almost everyone will need to tweek their program a little. Honestly, custom turrets are not the best way to shoot long range. There are too many things that can change for a custom turret to work all the time. The best is to calculate your moa for each shot to include wind, altitude, air density, shot angle,etc... This will give you the BEST true balistic calculation. This is why so many long range shooters are buying the BR2 Rangefinder from Gunworks. The BR2 does all these things after being set up. Makes for easy & quick calculations. If you don't have the money, like me. You can use a good shooting program like "shooter". It does the same thing, just takes longer! Adam

    Bipod Help

The Sargent Sniper Rest is another great addition to your set up. I still prefer using a bipod, but when a bipod isn't tall enough this is a great tool. http://ssrshooting.com/product/sargent-sniper-rest/

    2015/2016 Hunt Recommendations

I think the first hunt will be Awesome for the first several years. With only 400 other tag holders in the field most area's will be untouched. 22 & 23 will be fine if they keep the tag numbers where they are at. If they keep raising the tag numbers they will drasticly go down hill even more.

    Two years in a row!

So what happened in 27 last year? Did you miss or did you not see anything you wanted? Just curious:) Adam

    2015/2016 Hunt Recommendations

In 2015 unit 22 has 400 tags in each hunt. I guarantee that number will be double in less than 10 years, maybe even 5 years! Typical, money over management!

    Woods Canyon Lake Report 3-27-15

Thanks for the report. Next time you have fish rise, but not take your dry fly tie a dropper fly onto the dry fly. The dropper fly is tied onto the bend of the dry fly's hook and is usually about 2 feet in length. You can use any type of nymph as the dropper fly. The dry now becomes another bobber. The fish will usually come up to look at the dry and eat the dropper on the way back down. Great way to catch picky fish. Adam
