Do you have any load development for the rum?

I throw rocks to create waves to push the bird to shore. It can take a while at times. A fishing pole is best.

Pond jumping can be a lot of fun and can be very productive, but there are no guarantee's you will see or shoot ducks. I spent 8 hours driving around this past Monday pond jumping. We jumped a LOT of tanks and only saw 2 ducks! I would say that was not a normal day, but it can happen. The previous day we slaughtered them. You just never know when a pond is going to be good or bad!

Call the local warden to find out if it's ok to shoot them. If a local rancher has the grazing right's you are not allowed to shoot them. If they are Farrel you are good to go. I would be happy to join you:)

The more tanks you can find the better your chances are you will find Ducks. Just because a tank doesn't have a duck on it now doesn't mean there won't be a duck on it in a few hours or another day. The bigger tanks seem to hold ducks a little more often than the small tanks. The important thing is to find as many water holes that actually have water. If you can glass the tank prior to jumping it will help you a lot. This will give you an idea of where the ducks are on the tank or if there are any ducks. Once your 1-200 yards from the tank you need to be very quiet. Pond ducks can be very jumpy!!!! Do you best to get as close as possilbe before you jump/run up on the tank. Have fun and cary your bow with you in case you see a Deer!

Christmas morning I was able to sneek out for a few hours hoping to find some Ducks. I didn't find any Ducks, But I did find thousands of Dove. I limited quickly and headed home to spend Christmas with the family. The next day my brother in law and I brought out a few of our kids. We hoped to get enough Dove for a our Christmas party. After a few hours the kids had 8 doves each and Chris & I had 12 doves, a rabit and Chris's first Green head. This morning we headed out again to focus on Ducks. A couple hours later we had 7 Ducks. We also got a little side tracked on a few dove:) What a great day!!!!

If anyone has a Coues cape from a large mature Coues Buck for sale please let me know. Unfortunately the cape on my brother in laws Deer was not usable. He would like to mount the Deer, but needs a good cape. Thx, Adam
