Unfortunately, many people don't seem to understand basic economics. If you increase wages, you increase the cost of goods and services. If the cost of goods and services goes up, then so does the price. The business rarely absorbs all of the increased cost and it's passed onto the consumer (directly via higher prices or charging for extras that were previously free). The other option for businesses is to try to keep costs constant by reducing the number of hours people work, laying off people or automating processes. This results in layoffs, reduced customer service, or longer lines.

Glad you're ok, but this stinks. My folks are insurance agents for a Midwest insurance company. I'm pretty sure Dairyland is the company they use to write policies for their high-risk insureds that have had numerous accidents and/or tickets.

Best for me to keep quiet considering I'm sitting at the bottom of the standings. It doesn't help you have two empty slots and an injured starting receiver. No it doesn't! Was focused on the semis in another league and totally spaced out on setting my team in here. After 8 straight losses to end the regular season, all hope was already lost. It's been a humbling experience this year, but I'll be back again next year if you all are interested in keeping this going.
