Pro Shop recommendations in Mesa, AZ
grey curse replied to McBain's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Junior at Timber Mesa helped me last year on a new purchase and set up. Ive been archery shooting for thirty years and he was able to work out some kinks in my form and grip. Great customer service and not pushy. -
What happened today on the opener? ANYONE?

Going crazy here thinking there would be at least one post by now, since it is the first opening day for rifle season this year. -
Nice. One good thing is with all those sheds you know no one else is in the area. Even if theres no big sheds there, doesnt mean that during the hunt with all the pressure the big boys are not hiding out there.

Congrats on some great deer taken. Stinks to hear its be such a tough hunt. Hot and moon phase is off right now but that can all change in a few days. Good luck guys -
The gap is a zoo every season. Don't know if people like to test their 4x4 skills, or testing equipment out, or if it's the excitement of the race in with all the side-by-sides that light up the sky with led bars.

Why does our president need to be more tactful and pc when it comes to our flag and national anthem. As fair as I'm concerned the NFL should be boycotted by all. No one that loves this great country should buy tickets, watch on tv or but any item that promotes the NFL. Plan and simple real men and heros die for this country for all to have a freedom of speech. Protest in other fashion not against our flag and anthem!!!!!

Oh how the times have changed. It's sad that I feel the need to pass this along to you guys. This was forwarded to me by my sister. Just wanted to put this out there- My husband started his Elk hunt yesterday in 6A and is camping out by Strawberry, Az. After leaving camp to get some gas he came back to find EVERYTHING stolen out of the camp trailer from clothes, towels and blankets, to his hunting pack with everything in it including a Badlands Bino case, Vortex binos and rangefinder, broad heads, knives etc. our generator and chainsaw and more. So if anyone is around that area keep an eye out and watch you stuff! Feel free to share this post to get the word out.

Sounds like one unforgettable evening hunt. Congratulations

To harvest "catch or kill (animals) for human consumption or use". Not just a word for farming
-
^^^^ easily. You hunt it, get lucky enough to harvest an animal and give it respect. I been hunting since I was ten. Have been fortunate enough to harvest any thing from young spikes to mature trophies, all received my upmost respect. To hope for a clean swift and painless kill out of respect. When you wound or lose an animal that pit in your stomach is respect for that animals.

Yep. Definitely a shooter. Tell you buddy congrats

I'm all about bait trailers. If law inforcement won't do it maybe the next time I don't have a tag for elk I'll just hunt thieves.

Yeah if I had deer like that on my cameras I'd just go fishing. Great pictures

Okay got a scenario for you gentlemen. Back in march I was looking at some new country, setting salt and cams. Found this great bench. Started walking it out and running the trails to find " the spot" to drop a camera. Found an old salt lick that appeared abandoned. So I cleaned up the area and set a camera and put down salt. Came back in early may replaced batteries and sd card. Went in this past weekend to find some one had ripped the camera off the tree breaking the strap clips and the locking eyes on the door. Pulled the sd card deleted the pics and shoved it in backwards. Not sure if the camera even works now. Leaving a note " find your own area". No new camera up just a new salt block. So my question is was I on the wrong. I find and have abandoned salt lick all the time. I would have gladly moved out of the area with a simple note or even just seeing evidence of the lick being used by another hunter. I'm thinking of leaving a letter to explain all of this with my number to get reimbursed. Not that I run expensive cameras but just the Principal. Especially since I know he wants to hunt there and will be back.

In my book you should add 100" on him for using a recurve.

grey curse replied to Elkhunter1's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer

grey curse replied to elkaholic's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I get a that Thermacel is the best thing since sliced bread but I can't afford to run it 24/4. I'm packing in for the first time in august for four days and was trying to find a sent free bug spray for the nights. Don't want to have to pack in pints of blood as well -

Anyone have suggestions on sent free bug spray or wipes -
John o and pursuit, I feel you are right now that I look back at my decision. That's why I asked if I was in the wrong. I know it does not justify his actions but I should have moved on. At first I just picked up my cam and left. Sad oh well chip happens. I don't know if it was the heat or the long hike out but with every step I just got more angry. Maybe I'll just leave this alone and learn from it. I hate the bs drama anyways. Thanks for all the input guys. And yes leave peoples stuff alone.
