    Increasing draw length...

What bow is it? Some bows have draw stops that can be moved a little. Otherwise, I think you might be able to untwist the string a little, but draw weight will decrease slightly. I'm no bow technician, this is just from my past experiences on bows.

    smoothest shooting bow??

If you are in the north valley stop by AZ Archery Club and shoot some Xpeditions. Very nice and smooth draw (better than the Elite Impulse) and can be set up with Elite let off (mine is around 85%), solid back wall and awesome speed. I have the Xcentric 6 and for the first time ever I will not be buying a new bow this year. Well, compound anyways. Trying to decide between a Stalker Coyote or a Hoyt Satori.

First Lite Sanctuary Jacket Insulated XL

I'm about the same exact size as you and I have the First Lite Cirrus Puffy in XL and it fits perfect. I think this jacket has the same fit.

    that is the rut.....

"The buck was not showing any fear of humans and was chasing people and their pets." I can't get bucks to stick around within 100 yards of me and this one chases after people! I wish bucks would act aggressive and chase me during hunting season!

    Bino harness help

My AGC Kodiak Cub has the hook/bungee on it. I looked at the Marsupial and they are nice. I don't like to have the binos attached to the straps, I like to have them free if I want to put them on and off a tripod quickly. The AGC seems to cover my binos a little bit more completely which makes me feel better when I'm tromping through the woods. But the Marsupials are nice and cheaper than the AGC.

    Single bevel

First time trying a single bevel and ran into these in particular after reading all the Ashby reports. That led to multiple searches on various forums which turned up the "Cutthroat" name repeatedly. I wound up in a long conversation with Tommy at RMS Gear and that, combined with a sort-of confirmation from Ray at VPA, turned up the fact that these are produced for RMS by VPA. I've been using VPA heads for a while now and love their 2-blades. Seemed like a no-brainer to go this route if I wanted to see if the single bevel thing lived up to the hype. I say all this because although I do think Aron Snyder is quite the stud hunter, I'm not some kind of fanboy where everything guys like he and Cameron Hanes needs to be absolutely replicated in my load out. They definitely know what time it is and offer a lot to learn but here's my deal: I pack and live out of Kifaru stuff, wear Kuiu, supplement with Wilderness Athlete, and walk in Scarpa. Wow... did that sound defensive. I may have a problem. Sorry jaymzth007. Lol no worries Pac! I didn't mean to ensue that you were a fanboy of any sorts, Aron was just the only well known guy I knew of that was getting a lot of success from these heads. The way I see it, you can't go wrong with a broadhead with an unconditional lifetime guarantee even if you shoot it into a rock! I'm going to try these out of my recurve in January.

    Single bevel

Seen those on the Gritty Bowman podcasts. Those seem to be working great for Aron Snyder! He's been killing all sorts of critters with them this year!
  14. Hey guys and gals, just a heads up I saw an ad on Backpage for an Outdoorsmans pistol grip head and center post for $175 if anybody is interested. Link is below. http://phoenix.backpage.com/SportsEquipForSale/175-outdoorsmans-pistol-grip-and-pole/43079802

Outdoorsmans pistol grip head and center post

I know I wish I had the extra dough right now! Apache, you will need the tripod to complete. This is just the head and the center post to extend what ever you mount on the tripod up higher. Pela, yes you can mount the heads to some other tripods. I know for a fact they will fit on Gitzo carbon tripods as well as Slik's, but not sure about others.

    Vortex Glasspak Bino Harness

It looks a little more noisy that the AGH. The material inside looks like it would be "zippy" sounding. I agree it looks like a good buy for $50 though!

    muzzle loader question

My first 3 elk fell to either a .54 cal 430 grain or a 370 grain .50 cal T/C Maxi Ball out of a Thompson Center Renegade. I did the conversion to be able to use 209 shot shell primers (Mag Spark kit) and now I shoot 2 pellets of 777 behind a .45 250 gr Barnes MZ Expander. Those shoot great out of my old .50 Renegade.

  24. Selling my First Lite North Branch soft shell jacket and pants combo in ASAT size XL. Bought these new right after deer season this January and never wore them. I seem to have lost weight this summer because they are too big for me now. Never been worn (except in my house), never washed, still have tags. Very warm combo. Water repellant, fleece lined. Pants have full length zippers running up the legs and around the butt to vent heat if needed. Pants also have built in gaitors to keep debris out of your boots. Hate to sell but need a smaller size now. Asking $350 for the pair or $200 for each piece. Can meet in East Mesa in the evening or by Sky Harbor in the days. Thanks for looking. James
