Taliban leaders released from Gitmo
dustin25 replied to DesertBull's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I'm not labeling anyone.just don't watch a 20 second news clip and think you know exactly what happened.let the due process that our country believes in and relies on take it's course instead of condemning the guy with no info.maybe he's a traitor maybe not. I don't have the answer because I don't know for a fact what really happened.and neither do you.or were you there -

That's a lot of ignorant accusations for something you don't know 'rats butt' about. Key word is 'alleged' traitor. Dont all you self proclaimed super patriots believe in innocent until proven guilty? And you write this guy off knowing at most 10% of the real story? And to throw his family into the mix is just plain subhuman. -

Yeah coach I hope we get em too! And 43f, we don't know if this guys a deserter or a soldier who couldn't handle the stresses of combat and did something irrational. The latter happens every day with current or former soldiers... Regardless his life is worth the price paid to get him back -

We owe it to our soldiers to bring them home at any cost.if releasing 5 Taliban is all we could figure out to get our guy back, so be it.its not ideal, but if it was any of our family members being held hostage NOBODY would have a single complaint about how they got him back. -
Hey I'm not complaining about road hunters...the lazier people get, the more area left for us more remote hunters.who wouldn't rather hunt where theres no sign of people as far as the eye can see?that's half the point of goin hunting for me. Just my preference, and that's why its strange to me

I saw the same group of 'hunters' a few different days last year parked on the side of a popular mountain highway, in a parking lot, in camping chairs WITH UMBRELLAS, glassing OVER the highway.and one was inflip flops. To me, thats as strange and sad as 'hunting' gets

If I was you I'd save a little bit more and get some vipers.upgrade over the talons all around in every aspect. But I do think the talons are good for the price.

I like the guy who tries to sneak up and grab that big pig by its head....brilliant!

In my bra....?anyways, nice pictures Patrick that's a heckuva buck
-
85 for the one in the video? Looks much bigger from what I see.even if its narrow that a hundred inch buck plus all day long.
-
I mean, could that be a possible partial answer to what they're doing?

I agree its strange for some of those agencies to need those kind of firearms...but I could see some agencies benefitting.for example the forest service or weather and geographical surveyors could work in areas with common threats (possibly remote meth labs, pot grows, smuggling corridors etc) and should be able to adequately protect themselves.I'm not sure what some of those agencies do exactly, but some MAY have a good reason for better arms.

I'm my opinion, the razors are definitely not worth twice the price of the vipers.the razors are a little better to the edges and a tad brighter, but if someone's not proficient at finding game with glass of the vipers quality I think its much more a matter of skill level and technique then a problem with bino quality.

wondering if this is correct....
dustin25 replied to macknnc's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
If there are coues in Texas its the best kept secret in hunting and you should keep it to yourself! I'd give anything for my own private coues-holding mountain range! -

Coues only stretch as far east as western new mexico, the whitetails in Texas are a different subspecies -
SOME TIMES WE JUST HAVE TO CARE
dustin25 replied to a topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Agreed Stanley I'm not satisfied with how things are now.and I didn't mean Willie was busted, I meant whoever took literature bashing bush, changed the names out, and tried circulating it to bash Obama.THAT is funny... -

Busted! That's embarrassing.... -
One is too many and a thousand never enough...

I've always wanted to do something like what you're thinking about doing, so I think its awesome. If it was me I'd choose a different time of year though.

Very wrong, i respect people that have different views then me.my friends are testament to that.i called the ignorant bastards ignorsnt bastards, and i always will. AndIt makes no difference if you believe me about the good things I do for people.I don't do these things for recognition.its not community service, its volunteer work for people who have made mistakes and are trying to make it right.because that was once me. I know most of you have never made a mistake in your life, but I don't believe in kicking those who are down.

That's great man I'm glad to hear that, sounds like a good day to me! They went great, you help one or 2, the rest don't want to hear what you have to say.that's just the way it goes in that kind of outreach work.See, no politics involved, and 2 posts in we're already talking about what really matters...
-
I know bantering with you ignorant bastards is a waste of time and a shortcoming of mine I'm working on.but I'm man enough to admit I'm not perfect.

Yeah but between that I went to the jail and talked to young men and women about staying away from drugs, gangs and crime, like I regularly do.then this evening I went and supported a project that combats sexual assault on young women. And at 5am I'm leaving to take underprivileged kids on a day hike. Do anything positive with your life today chief? If you don't know how I live I wouldn't run your mouth about the way I live.
