Email from NM Game and Fish
dustin25 replied to Couestracker's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
What did the email say? I didn't get one... -
I wanted to ask for some advice about recurves. I want to pick up hunting coues with a recurve, and I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction as to what bow would be a good starter bow. I'm limited in budget right now, but I'll save and get a better bow before January hopefully. I've done some early research, and I'm thinking I want to start with about a 35# bow until I wstablish good form, then move to 45-50# to hunt.does that sound right? Maybe a takedown bow where I can just get heavier limbs later? Any advice on a bow,or traditional recurve hunting would be much appreciated.thanks!

I thought it was hilarious...

Congrats Bob,you picked the obvious favorites and they won. Amazing.i met Sean Elliott one time and played basketball through age 8,guess that qualifies me

complete collapse- losing in the first round to Buffalo Maybe...but then what do you call starting the season undefeated, declaring yourselves a basketball school, then losing more then half of your games in conference play ( including 2 to Arizona), and not even making the real field of the ncaa tournament? If Arizona was a collapse, then ASU fell somewhere between apocalyptic and just plain embarrassing collapse

One school has one fan that cares, and who can't let go of the complete collapse of that "basketball school's" break through basketball season, including getting swept by their underachieving arch rivals

Anyone know how long it typically takes for results to come out in NM?

Those are also refundable

Makes sense, most asu grads specialize in sweeping things for their careers

I have one. Shoots about .75 moa, maybe a little better, with factory hornady eldx 143 gr. The stocks are notorious for touching the barrel on the left side, so I opened up the barrel channel with sandpaper, took like 10 minutes. The stock is cheap, but functions just fine I think. I adjusted the trigger as light as it would go, and I like it.ive never had a high dollar trigger, but it is about the perfect weight for a hunting rifle and breaks smooth and crisp. I look at that rifle as a very functional and serviceable rifle at a great price. Biggest drawback is the cheapie stock, but it works.

How did the ASU butt darts team do last night sundevil? I'm sure you we're there, you ain't no wannabe
-
That game pretty much sums up how the whole season felt
-
Buffalo keeps playing like this, they might win the whole thing.they deserve to win,no doubt about it
-
Buffalo is on fire, that happens...but uninpired effort by arizona is the real disappointment here. This team could've and should've been so much better this year.oh well
-
Arizona is getting their butts kicked, plain and simple
-
I just hope Arizona can get past buffalo first, sounds like they're a pretty good team

College Basketball in Arizona: Reality over Rhetoric

ASU has a much easier path than arizona to the 2nd weekend even with playing the extra game... No way ASU should even be in it,guess we will see what happens. Arizona got a rough draw,if they have an off game they'll be out quick! -
I ended up ordering a Southwest archery Spyder xl, sounds like it's exactly a samick sage with a few upgrades and 64" length. Excited to shoot it. 140 bucks.Any suggestions on arrow selection? Do you guys shoot off the shelf?
-
Cool thanks for all the advice so far! Sounds like I should look into a samick sage.im in Tucson, are any of the pse recurves worth taking a peek at? As far as hunting goes, I've killed a handful of coues with a compound, all under 40, a few from 14-25,so I'm really looking forward to seeing if I can get it done shooting instinctive with a recurve. As far as figuring out what size bow I need, what is the best way to figure that out? I have about a 30.5-31" compound draw length and I've been told that means I should get a 64" recurve. Does that sound right? Thanks guys

They need to win the PAC 12 tournament to get in in my opinion -

A team 8-10 in their conference has no business making the tournament -

Good post.couldve done without the soap box opening though.whats really the bigger problem in our world, friendly (but sometimes emotional) banter on a website? Or narcissism, ethnocentrism and over sensitivity? Sundevil has an emotional connection to his school, and we have the same for ours. It's not a big deal!take the emotion out of a rivalry and there's no rivalry.that's what makes school rivalry so much fun -
He's just reaching for anything he can, after all the crap talking about how ASU basketball is so great earlier this year got shoved right back down his throat....the acts of a desperate scum devil....
-
How'd did ASU do in their last baseball game sundevil? They lost by 12.to long beach state.

Special Olympics don't count, sundevil
