Some new ones for the pile

That's a great day Josh, hard to sleep knowing there are 3 matches sitting there somewhere. A few years ago I was in a pretty popular area and found a right and a left almost on top of each other next to a bed, each had six points so I figured they where a set. When I got home I realized they were off different elk. Wish I would have taken the time to see it while I was on the mountain, I would have spent time looking for matches. Keep posting, --Bill

    Sheds from After Work

The fork is off a different deer, one of the biggest muley sheds I've found. I've picked up 4 browns in this area, and none of them match. --Bill

    Picture from Sunday

You guys are good. There is a Coues' Buck, 3 Muley doe, and a couple Elk. While I was glassing the ridge there were 19 elk, 12 Muley doe, and the Coues' Buck. I could only get these in the picture. I watched the buck for about an hour trashing every tree he went by... I just knew he was going to shed... no luck. I never dreamed of getting Coues', Muley, and Elk in the same field of view. --Bill

    Local Carp are Dropping

I am on my way to your house to help you "thin the herd". I like to practice QBM (Quality Beer Management), it keeps the fridge healthy. --Bill

    Yellow Lab deeks Coyote

Very nice Casey, I guess it really doesn't matter where you hit a coyote, as long as you hit them. That is a good looking pup, got some ears to grow into. My first "out of the parents house" dog was a yellow lab, he went everywhere with me. Great companions and they need every minute of attention you can give them, good to see you taking him hunting. --Bill

    Unit 15

Congrats on buying some beautiful country. I'm thinking that you don't reside in NM. To come on here and basically ask... Anyone know how I can cheat legal law abiding sportsman, and illegally get a resident license. Strikes me as pretty lame. Yes you purchased land here, and pay property taxes, but you state yourself "don't live there". Page 8 from the Regulations: " A New Mexico Resident Is: 1. A United States citizen who, for a period of not less than 90 days immediately preceding the date of application for the license, has been domiciled in New Mexico and does not claim residency elsewhere for any purpose. Temporary or seasonal residents, who maintain a primary residence outside of New Mexico, DO NOT qualify for resident licenses; 2. A citizen of another country who is legally within the United States and has actually lived in New Mexico for 90 days immediately preceding his license application; 3. A student who has attended an educational institution in New Mexico and has actually lived in the state for at least 1 full term immediately preceding license application and who presents, at the time of purchase, a certificate or letter of their enrollment and attendance signed by the proper authorities of such institution; 4. A member of the U.S. Armed Forces permanently assigned to a military installation located within New Mexico and who presents with their application, a certificate or letter verifying their military assignment signed by their commanding officer; 5. A member of the U.S. Armed Forces, who presents with their application, a certificate or letter verifying their military assignment signed by their commanding officer, and who is officially stationed at a military reservation located partially in New Mexico and an adjacent state, but only for a special license valid only for hunting and fishing in New Mexico and only on those reservations." If that wasn't your intention, Welcome to an awesome site. --Bill
