Amanda, It sure was, 2nd to last trip looking for elk sheds this past spring. I try to pose the CWT sticker in most pictures that I have with the 4 wheeler. I wonder what folks around here think when they see it parked? Doug, With the antler market down I'll be chopping most of the singles and whites. I just can't seem to bring myself to cut up a brown set... But, the cabin does need some elk antler coat racks. --Bill

WFGinNM replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
I would love to meet you all and visit Jim's house, but.... Once again I will have to grill some deer, open a beer and live vicariously through you lucky folks and wait for the pictures. Have a great time everybody, --Bill -
Thanks everyone, someday.... yes someday I will make some trips down south to look for brown Coues' sheds. --Bill

Sounds like a fun trip. Nice taxi work also, does he just do skin mounts or does he do replicas also? I have a walleye I'm thinking about getting a replica. --Bill

Josh, Those are just amazing. Thanks for sharing. --Bill

Amanda, walleye is a very good eating fish. Closest thing around here to the flakey white fish from the ocean (cod, haddock, pollack, ect.) We have to eat the smaller ones though, mercury level warnings don't advise to eat too many big fish. Bonecollector, that is the Southfork Fire behind me. --Bill

I've been out for walleye twice this year, and this was the only keeper. Not the best picture, from my cell phone. 26 1/2" 7 1/2 lbs. --Bill

It's at the top of my "Favorites" list. I didn't want to push my luck with my Wife by using it as the "Homepage". --Bill -
With my time to spend looking for Elk sheds getting slimmer and the Elk starting to show up feeding like crazy, I guess this is good timing. I'll have somewhere to post pictures of the spring and summer Elk from here in the Jemez. Thanks Amanda, --Bill

Congratulations Jeremy, good to see people making happy lives for themselves. Here's hoping you stay busy, --Bill -
There are so many ridges and miles left to hike. Went out Saturday with my Son and picked up 2 browns and 4 whites, and another white set on Sunday. This is my favorite picture from the weekend. The only flowers in bloom were around the antler. I hope everyone's Mother's and Wife's had a great day. --Bill

I could be persuaded to go put that antler back in exchange for a set of fresh Coues' sheds. --Bill
