I'm going to have to say "Hybrid", Husky/Shepherd. --Bill

Congratulations to Aaron on a good hunt, and Kudos to all the fine folks that helped. Good job, --Bill

Do you have to go to some circle of rock vortex near Sedona to activate the suit? Does that come with a camo aluminum foil cap so the deer can't hear your thoughts? --Bill

I think he's got a bunch of mass. --Bill

Sounds like a great time, thanks for sharing. --Bill

Rifle Kick....looking for suggestions for next rifle
WFGinNM replied to Redman's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
This has been a good thread Redman. My 7mm is getting pretty spendy to shoot, and I'm going to be working over my .243 for Coues' hunting. They both shoot great, but the .243 costs 1/2 as much to shoot. I'm looking forward to feedback on the "energy" question. Later, --Bill -
Congrats on such a unique 'cat. If a person ever wanted to have a lifesize mount of a 'cat that is the one. If you want to sell it I'd try to sell it to a Taxidermist, not the fur market. Very nice 'cat, --Bill

Congratulations on a Beautiful buck, nice high rack and handsome cape. Any side pictures of him? Good job, --Bill

That's awesome, smiles like that sure reflect great memories being made. Good for you to get your Nephews out to experience life. Congrats to the hunters, --Bill

Am I sensing a bit of sarcasm here Clay? I've never shot with a thumbhole stock before. --Bill No sarcasm here I am just letting you know from my personal experience. It helped me lots I am not saying you need help I am just informing everyone that it does help if you need it and if you don't it still feels good. I could sure use the help with accuracy . The .243 doesn't move much at the shot, and I was hoping that a stock like this would make it even steadier. Just curious if it put too much recoil on the hand. Looks like I will have to find a way to order one up soon. Thanks Guys, --Bill

Packing out that way sure makes for a neat picture. I never think of it, I'm so used to elk that the knives come out and the animal comes out of the woods in pieces. Good job, --Bill

How do you like that thumbhole stock from Boyd's? I'm thinking about re-stocking my .243. --Bill

Very nice Zach, thanks for sharing you hunt with us. I know there is a picture of you packing it out, let's see it. Congrats, --Bill

Congratulations Brock, looks like you are having a fun year. --Bill

You said it.... I usually make 4 gallon ziplock bags of elk jerky to take hunting, 2 with green chile, 2 without. Supplimented with the usual candybars, and jolly ranchers. If there are any leftovers from the night before they get tossed into tortillas and packed also. --Bill

Congratulations, very nice buck. Looking forward to reading her story. Good job, --Bill

Enough time to be able to hunt Coues' deer in AZ next year. Then maybe the good fortune to shoot a nice typical. --Bill

Excellent, I bet the "fat lady" wasn't the only one screaming. Congratulations, --Bill

Gregg, Nice Buck. I live about 4 hours from Coues' country here in NM (I have heard there are 2 in Unit 17) , I know it's a different story than 2500 miles. I researched the archives here for years trying to decide what units to focus on. Fortunately for me I have a friend that lives down near Nogales and he helped me with some of the logistics. If you have any idea on units you'd like to visit, there is a huge pool of info to be had here. You will find your Coues', If you need any information from north central NM I'd be glad to help with what I can. Keep posting the pictures of Eastern Whitetails, it's a totally different dimension sitting in a tree hunting rutting bucks that I don't get to enjoy as much as I'd like. --Bill

Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!
