PRELIMINARY SCOPE ADJUSTMENT - FAST FOCUS EYEPIECE Before installing the scope, we recommend you set the focus of the eyepiece to fit your individual visual requirement. Refocusing the ocular distance will result in a sharper reticle focus, an improved optical image, and will help to avoid eye fatigue when using the scope over prolonged periods of time. To refocus, hold the scope about 3 to 4 inches from your eye and point at the open sky or other flatly lit area such as a monotone painted wall. Quickly glance into the scope. If the reticle appears blurred at first glance, it is out of focus. Turn the fast-focus eyepiece clockwise or counter clockwise several turns. Glance into the scope again to check the sharpness of the reticle. Remember to take quick glances, as the eye will compensate for slightly out of focus conditions with prolonged looks. If the reticle still appears blurred, turn the eyepiece another two or three turns. Repeat this procedure until the reticle is sharp and clearly defined. Unless your eyes undergo a significant change over the years, you will not have to make this adjustment again. POWER CHANGE RING Changing the magnification of the Bushnell Elite Tactical Riflescope can be accomplished by grasping the knurled knob marked with the scope’s magnification range. Turn the power change ring clockwise for higher magnifications, counterclockwise for lower magnifications. The magnification setting can be identified by noting the number that is below the white index dot on the scope tube. Doug from Camera Land's Day 2 SHOT Show Report Day 2: I had an hour to myself this morning due to the Leica meeting time misunderstanding yesterday so I used this time to go over to the Warne Scope Ring/Mount booth. I've been looking for a quality ring company to get some other options available for you and they seem to have some great affordable offerings. What are your thoughts? Please let me know. Now my day 2, which was planned as more of my standard crazy meeting type day can officially begin. It's European Day for me My 1st meeting of the day was with Swarovski. This fills a nice opening left by S&B's pull out on us and the other USA dealers they bailed on. All in all a great meeting with Leica and a very exciting year ahead with these new optics. I had a little while now before what was supposed to be my 1st meeting which now was my 2nd of the day so I took an hour to look around. I didn't see anything note worthy so off to Athlon I went. I have become somewhat friendly with these guys since we started working together a little over 2 years ago. Some players have come and gone but the guys at the top are the same and they've always made working together effortless and enjoyable. At the end of 2019 they discontinued MANY SKU's in they offerings (which IMO was a good decision. No brand needs an offering of binoculars at every $40.00 increment) and added a few nice additions. As I am sure you've already become aware of we jumped on a few of the discontinued items and posted them on our Specials Section. The one change in presentation, but not in product, is now all of their optics that were always ED glass are now called UHD. No change in SKU #, no change in packaging. Just a name change. Not sure how I feel about this, however, greater marketing minds than mine are at work. Not a bad thing or a good thing, again IMO, just a thing. GPO's been around a few years now but just doesn't get the recognition and support I feel they deserve. Great optics, great quality control, lifetime no worry about it warranty and nice packaging but still is not mainstreaming. I cannot figure out why. Anyone who has looked through one of their Passion HD Binoculars will agree it's right there with the best of the Alpha glass at a fraction of the price.
