Update on our hunt...First off, THANKS to all of you for your suggestions and thoughts! Met some great guys who were very helpful and had a genuine interest in helping us be successful! We didn't kill but saw a lot of great looking Coues country and had a good time learning new country. For me thats half the hunt, just getting out and seeing new country and exploring it to see what it might hold. And in most cases it didn't hold much, we were surprised on the lack of game in great looking habitat. But isn't that the nature of these great little deer. Loving to live in isolated pockets. We found nice bucks but couldn't find anything over a 100''. Looking forward to the draw to see if we'll be chasing the ghost again next year.

Thanks to all for the useful information, it will give us a place to start the search. We will be heading down soon and we're looking forward to a fun hunt. I'll give an up date when we get finished. Again thank you to the guys that offered their opinions and information. Thank you!

What has happened in D? Didn't it use to be one of the better units on the Reservation.

Does anyone have any information on Unit D that they would be willing to share...not asking for specifics, We have been hunting C and couldn't get C tags this year so ended up with Jan D tags. I understand D isn't what it use to be. Coming down from Utah and work hasn't allowed me to come down and get familiar with the unit. Can anyone tell me what to expect as far as quality? And any areas we should avoid more than areas to go. Thx, Deadheads
