I would figure out what your eyes like the best and go from there. I personally do not like the 15's, I much prefer to glass with 10 or 12x and have no problems finding animals. A solid tripod is very important, and a smooth fluid head. I carry 10x42 El's and also always have my 20-60x80 spotter. The spotter is a luxury piece that is not needed until you have good binoculars first. Before I had a nice scope, my legs just got a better workout trying to get closer to determine how good the animal was. Chances are, you will not glass with a spotting scope because it causes a lot of eye fatigue. Instead, you will find the animals with your binoculars and size them up with the scope. Buy the best optics you can afford, and IMO save up a little longer than you originally planned and get one step better than your previous plan. You will have them forever and the saying goes, "buy once, cry once" Good luck on getting some quality optics and do not look past used optics.

14 feet in 2 days is pretty impressive LOL

22 has not had a less than max tag over the last 5 years, and probably never will unless they change something

I know the feeling of waking up, looking at the ocean and wondering why in the world she is so angry today. Have no doubt that the day you are leaving and unable to fish, it will be a mill pond.

Yeah, anything less than 25 will probably never make max points for sheep. 22 and 24b will never be your hunt. I came to terms with this a few years back, but do enjoy those that still apply for the hunts with 0.0% chance of drawing. It is those people, who have no clue how this system works, that ensure my odds are higher for the hunts I am after. Anyone I know that says they are buying a bonus point for sheep, I think in my head, why waste your money? It MIGHT increase your odds by .05% maybe. 80% of the tags are drawn by luck, hopefully my lucky year is within the next 20 years.

Pretty sure it is 26 this year

If you guys really want to learn a bunch about sheep, check out all the videos and read all the articles by Jay Scott. Last year when my buddy drew a tag, we tried to pick his brain, read all of his articles and watched all of his videos. I felt pretty confident in scoring rams by the start of the season, and the ram he killed we guessed within a 1/4 of an inch to what AZGFD actually scored him. Some of that was luck, but I felt pretty confident that what I had learned helped me.

That is terrible, I think a houndsmen on here should head to San Carlos and get that cat!

Great target ammo. I have shot lots of it, with no issues.

You can not text from a rotary phone Lark!

From What I know, your mileage will go down between 20-30%. Atleast this was the case with the previous e85 capable vehicles. I have not heard of any big improvements on the newer vehicles to change the MPG. I say you do a test and give us the results.

It is cheaper over here in N Peoria. I think it is $2.19

What is the barrel length?

Mine has 3.73 gears and as far as gas mileage, my computer says I have gotten an average of 14.5 since owning it. I suspect their computers are off atleast 1 MPG as when I do the math, it is always lower than what my fuel economy says. I know a buddy with another 2014 and his computer inflates the MPG as well. I suspect all of them do, as it looks better.

I am running a 2014 Ram 2500 with the 6.4 litre V8. I put Goodyear Duratracs on it. My favorite tire to date. I got 60000 out of my last set and they still have an aggressive tread pattern. Great truck so far, only have 7k on it.

Pm replied.. Let the "idiots" put in for the hunt they want. It will ensure they will not be hunting where you like to hunt and taking you desired tag.

Hunting with an order of protection - Questions/Thoughts needed

Seldom is in the sauce pretty thick tonight. Posting up zingers in all threads... No sense in arguing with him, he knows all, has done all. -
Yeah... 19A is terrible!! I wouldn't waste my hunter safety point on that crappy Antelope unit! No big goats left in there. Seldom drawn killed them all or knows someone who did.

Make sure you have plenty of help to pack out your animal.... That is the hardest part of hunting alone during the early archery hunts. You will most likely lose meat if you do not. As far as your draw odds, those 2 hunts have very close draw odds with 4 points. Both were around 21-24% on the actual odds last year. Good luck on your hunt. -
Wac ems for me. shuttle T or Slick tricks would be my 2nd and 3rd choice.

5 fish in 2 days???? That is insane, we usually have 5 fish before the boat has been started for 15 minutes. I have not been yet this year, but last year in July, it was insane as usual.

Thanks for that in depth review of your Steiner scope. Years ago, I sold optics for a living, and I was never impressed with anything that Steiner put out. I was thinking maybe they changed their glass or coatings with that scope. My eyes just never liked Steiner glass. Kahles, on the hand, I always thought was great glass.
-
Were you not impressed with the Steiner scope?

Flatlander- Only the 400+ " bulls are going to get killed during early Muzzy. Should be close to 10,000 inches of bone gone from 9 after early muzzy hunt. OP- Late unit 9 can be a tough hunt. Stay in the flats and canyons and you will find elk. Unit will amaze you at how well they can disappear when it starts getting cold.

GIANT unit, do some work, find new areas, move on! Be the bigger person, it is not hard to find new areas in 6A, Elk are literally from the far north boundary, all the way to the far south boundary and everywhere in between. Gives you more reason to get out of town and scout!
