I went to Abaco a few years ago and it was a pretty good time. We chartered a boat to go deep sea fishing and that was pretty amazing too. We caught black fin tuna, mahi mahi and wahoo's. The Wahoo are amazing to eat and fight like the dickens. We actually stayed in a really nice house on the ocean. Our next door neighbor was a bone fish guide and he took one of our guys out for a day. They caught an ungodly amount, trying to remember, but im thinking it was like 15-20 bonefish on a fly rod. I know he was worn out at the end of the day. Looks like your trip was a lot of fun and makes me want to get back there.

I make sure to keep an open and honest dialogue between me and the other half. I would have no problem telling her that the other drill is better and costs the same. It might be in your best interests to sugarcoat it a little and blame Amazon for trying to dump old stock and not educating the buyer. haha. I own both brushless and motors with brushes. As a homeowner, I doubt you would ever be able to notice a difference, but why not get the most bang for your buck.

Jazz- I highly recommend you actually call Kifaru and talk to them directly. I own and have owned several of their frames and bags. All are outstanding quality. They offer different size stay options 22", 24" and 26". I have seen guys who are abnormally long in the torso get 28" stays made for them specifically. This is a big deal because it will greatly affect how heavy weight carries on the pack. If you do not have enough load lift, the weight will be on your shoulders. I own the reckoning bag and it is a pretty slick layout. I do not think you will be disappointed with your purchase. Buy once, cry once is what I would usually say, but after you buy once, you will probably end up like me and buy multiple different bags just because. haha

I made one last year on my Traeger, it was absolutely delicious. I followed a recipe on the traeger website. It is a great time of year to buy a 20 lb hunk of meat and turn half into a prime rib and the other half into thick Ribeyes.

3-15 rifle scope hunting range?
HuntHarder replied to no worries's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Quick answer is Yes. I have 6.5-20's on my long range rigs, but rarely use 20x. I usually find myself shooting 12-15x. This is plenty of magnification for most hunting situations. -
It really comes down to personal preference. When I went with aftermarket wheels, the biggest thing I had to look for was the correct offset. I can not stand a wheel that sticks too far out of the fender. When I went wider on the tire, I had to counter that with a different offset, but still have enough to clear your suspension. Good luck

Nitto and Toyo are the same company and probably very similar rubber compounds.

I went with 18x9" after market wheels with 35 x 12.50 Ridge grapplers.
-
I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my 2500. So far so good, but only 5k on tires.

I have owned quite a few rifles and I have never lapped a set of rings. I use Warne or Nightforce rings and have yet to have a scope slide in the rings.

How to get brass out of h&r single shot
HuntHarder replied to Presmyk's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I would try to bend down a piece just big enough to get some needle nose pliers on it. -
This hunt has turned into a tough hunt with High tag #'s and low success rates. I wouldn't beat yourself up over it, it happens from time to time and it's not like everyone else was tagging out and you guys couldn't. It is a tough hunt which was compounded dry weather and cold temps.

Crazy story Lance. Glad you got out without any harm to you or your family. As what was stated above. Know your target that you point your weapon at. If you can not identify the difference between a deer and an elk, this should be discussed prior to entering the field. Killing the wrong species should NEVER happen, especially by an Adult. I know the "feel good" part of me wants to give a novice hunter the benefit of the doubt and cut him some slack. Gross Negligence should not be handled with warning citation IMO. I will say that after the mistake was made, you (300rum) did a great job of immediately turning it in and letting Game and Fish handle the situation the way they felt necessary.

Your vet made a very a reckless shot, hopefully the WM threw the book at him. There is 0 excuse for shooting a deer during elk season.

Sanding down a B&C medalist stock
HuntHarder replied to no worries's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I am pretty positive it turns a dark gray or blackish color. I have sanded down the barrel channnel on mine and that is the color underneath the paint. -
As what has been eluded to above, It is hard to compare the 2 styles of hunting. Bowhunting gives you much longer seasons and generally the animals are considerably easier to locate during the time of year you are hunting them. When you get out on some of those rifle hunts with 1000 + tags, it can be hard to even locate a decent buck. I think after you have a few animals under your belt with a bow, you start realize that it really isn't as hard as most guys make it out to be. Now, finding a legit 110" buck, that is a challenge. Lots of hunters have never seen a 110" coues alive in front of them.

My wife’s southern Az buck
HuntHarder replied to azhunter85's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
That's a dandy of a buck. Congrats on the success. -
Im with oz31P- I have no problem finding bucks on just about any hunt in there. From the low desert, to up on top off Wagner, deer seem to be on the rise.
-
I always love these questions. Most guys will say the long bow deer, but they are only lying to themselves. haha

I have had a Traeger for 3+ years, and they are great. They require little maintenance and very little attention while cooking. I can't really help you decide between the 3 different types, but the Traeger works well for me.
