AZGFD Dec 7th Commission Meeting - Education Funding
HuntHarder replied to stanley's topic in The Campfire
20$ x 3 kids and a wife is a 100$ x 2 draws a year is 200$. Yes, at the end of the day 200$ isn't a make or break deal, but it is still extra money to stay the the same odds as everyone else... I will admit, to me the 200$ is not crazy significant, but to other families it might be. Any time you have to pay extra to stay at similar odds, I call BS. You will never make everyone happy. This is simply my opinion and clearly you do not agree with it. That is what makes America so great. You do not have to agree with me, but you should try to understand my position on this matter. Surely you did not come on a public forum and expect to sway everyone 11 posts in... -
AZGFD Dec 7th Commission Meeting - Education Funding

It is pretty much extortion if they make an optional bonus point available for purchase. Does it increase the majority of hunter's chances of getting drawn? The answer is yes, albeit a very small fraction of a percent better odds. Point creep will be accelerated and we are inching closer and closer to the wealthy getting better chances of getting drawn. Again fraction's of a percent better odds in some cases and more in others. Just do not like the idea of selling "extra" bonus points. Community service and $ for the point would at least get some stuff done for them and improve habitat at the same time. -

How to price trophy coues deer

Nice find!! it really comes down to what someone is willing to pay. Some of the shed buyers have buyers that are looking for specific racks or sheds. I would contact them and they can give you an idea of what they think it is worth. -

What kind of velocity are you getting with this rifle? I am debating building a 6.5 x 284.

You mean to tell me the Creedmoor will not kill an elk at 2 miles? -
You will quickly learn that getting a coyote in a live trap is one of the hardest things to accomplish. Not saying it is impossible, but they are super intelligent when it comes to getting trapped. Their fur is rarely worth the time down here in the desert. Suppressed .22 would be a great way to get a few of them.

I will take one if one falls thru

I too have been really impressed with the Black Ovis Merino. Seems to keep me warm when I need it to, but also keep me cool in the heat.

Are there any decent bucks left in unit 21?
HuntHarder replied to 308Nut's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
This is a great hunt. I would easily say set your expectations on 150+ for the majority of the hunt. The hunt will only get better as the time goes on. I have noticed over the last few years that it seems the Whitetail have expanded their range into areas that I used to only see Muleys in. I know last year I was seeing Whitetail 5-1 in an area where I used to see Muleys 20-1. Good luck on the hunt and congrats on getting that tag. -
I have bought 2 silencers from silencershop.com. They had the best price I could find on both. They make the process as easy as it can possibly be. They have dealers who are set up with machines in their gun stores. This machine, takes your picture and fingerprints and sends them to silencershop.com. The hardest part of the process was setting up my trust, but even that was super easy, just took a trip to the bank to get notarized. Oh did I mention, there is no transfer fees when you go pick up your silencers. My wait time was about 9 months.

Unit 7 is a massive unit With Antelope spread out from north to south from east to west. Try looking further north and even into 7E. I have not heard of any die off. I know from my experience in the unit, the antelope that stay in the small meadows, often are in the trees right at sun up.

I Went with the fast fire on my Ruger 22/45. I like it because it is very compact and does not say Vortex on it.- 1 reply

HuntHarder replied to hoghntr's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
You are a lucky guy. Seems like you get a tag donated to you every year. -
By this, ThomC means, he never leaves his mom's basement, so all of his hunting is done with his hands on the keyboard.

Webcast tonight regarding the "Education" funding
HuntHarder replied to bonecollector's topic in The Campfire
Emailing in suggestions reaches FAR many more people than 20 guys who are expressly against something going to a meeting. Lots of us have busy lives and taking 10 minutes to write an email serves us better, rather than going to a meeting for 3 hours that usually just involves azgfd vs. the audience. -
Wish I needed a 3rd safe. This is a nice safe that is very well built. Good luck with the sale. What is the fire rating?

Easy solution, Garage problem is not related to your kitchen problem, sounds like a different circuit, as it should be. If it is popping the GFI, it is likely your freezer when it cycles on and off that does it. This is why freezers/ fridges should not be part of a GFI outlet. Have an electrician run a dedicated circuit to your garage if you are worried about it continuing to pop the GFI. Also your Gfi, on that circuit, may be going bad and simply needs to be replaced, very common with today's shitty components. The kitchen issue is simply an overloading of a single circuit. Anything with a heating element in it will draw a significant amount of amperage. Plug the keurig into the other circuit in the kitchen and your problem should be solved. GFI's check for amperage leakage or an imbalance of amperage going in and coming back. The breakers in your house panel check for over amperage and will trip then they get too much amperage on them. This is unless the breaker that is tripping is a GFI breaker or arc fault, then they trip just like a gfi as well as a normal breaker. The arc faults trip when an "arc" is detected. These are a pain in the butt and will nuissance trip when small motors start up like vacuums and such. Good luck, and if you need a licensed electrician, pm me and I will give you his info.

Home warranty will not fix it, if the garage is on the kitchen circuit. That is not an electrical problem, rather an updated code. The warranties will not bring an old house up to current code 100%. They will simply fix anything that breaks or is creating a dangerous situation. Are you not allowed to run a dedicated circuit to the garage anymore and put in a simplex instead of a GFI. I know code here, used to allow that so long as that was the only simplex outlet on a dedicated circuit. That is how my current set up is. If you want a very qualified electrician on the east side to come out and fix/ diagnose what exactly is going on, PM me and I will give you a guy's number.
