Webcast tonight regarding the "Education" funding
HuntHarder replied to bonecollector's topic in The Campfire
Emailing in suggestions reaches FAR many more people than 20 guys who are expressly against something going to a meeting. Lots of us have busy lives and taking 10 minutes to write an email serves us better, rather than going to a meeting for 3 hours that usually just involves azgfd vs. the audience. -
Wish I needed a 3rd safe. This is a nice safe that is very well built. Good luck with the sale. What is the fire rating?

Easy solution, Garage problem is not related to your kitchen problem, sounds like a different circuit, as it should be. If it is popping the GFI, it is likely your freezer when it cycles on and off that does it. This is why freezers/ fridges should not be part of a GFI outlet. Have an electrician run a dedicated circuit to your garage if you are worried about it continuing to pop the GFI. Also your Gfi, on that circuit, may be going bad and simply needs to be replaced, very common with today's shitty components. The kitchen issue is simply an overloading of a single circuit. Anything with a heating element in it will draw a significant amount of amperage. Plug the keurig into the other circuit in the kitchen and your problem should be solved. GFI's check for amperage leakage or an imbalance of amperage going in and coming back. The breakers in your house panel check for over amperage and will trip then they get too much amperage on them. This is unless the breaker that is tripping is a GFI breaker or arc fault, then they trip just like a gfi as well as a normal breaker. The arc faults trip when an "arc" is detected. These are a pain in the butt and will nuissance trip when small motors start up like vacuums and such. Good luck, and if you need a licensed electrician, pm me and I will give you his info.

Home warranty will not fix it, if the garage is on the kitchen circuit. That is not an electrical problem, rather an updated code. The warranties will not bring an old house up to current code 100%. They will simply fix anything that breaks or is creating a dangerous situation. Are you not allowed to run a dedicated circuit to the garage anymore and put in a simplex instead of a GFI. I know code here, used to allow that so long as that was the only simplex outlet on a dedicated circuit. That is how my current set up is. If you want a very qualified electrician on the east side to come out and fix/ diagnose what exactly is going on, PM me and I will give you a guy's number.

Strange for sure. I wonder if you could legally harvest it? A couple years back we had some swans hanging around our duck hunting grounds. We did not shoot them and instead called and was told we could not shoot them in Az. I am sure this is a little different case because they are federally controlled vs. state controlled, but just because something is not listed in the regs, does not mean you can shoot it.

Com' on Man!! You know those 6.5 guys won't acknowledge any other caliber. 270wsm is a pretty sweet round, but if it comes down to splitting a gnat's butt hair @ 800 yards, SOME of those 6.5's beat it.

But can you draw a 3 phase Z bank on the secondary? haha

Always tell an old timer by 110/220. haha j/k Depends on the size of the unit, some run on 120v, some run on 240 or 208. You can usually order them based on your needs and what kind of electrical service you have at your residence or establishment.

If you have the funds, get a Kifaru. Going to the higher end packs has made a huge difference in comfort. I used to own eberlestock and badlands and thought they were good enough. When I decided to see what all the hype was with the higher end packs, it was apparent that they do live up to the hype. The custom fitment and bag options is where it is at. Kifaru is a top notch company with probably the best customer service in the industry. They are American made with quality components. I would highly recommend getting a kifaru, Exo or Stone Glacier and not looking back. Expensive investment, but it is just that, an investment in comfort.

I've used goat stuff with great results on the victory outserts. Never had one pull out. I usually clean with alcohol, then try and rough up the inside of the arrow shaft, clean again and glue

Your best bet around here anymore is to just go to the closest archery shop to you and ask there. There are to many professional hunters on here to give you any beginner advice on archery. They have been shooting so long and so much that they forgot what is was like to learn. There are still a few good guys on here but they do not post as much as the pro's. Take up Ed's offer in prescott if you are near him. He has some good hunts under his belt with a bow and I am sure he could get you going. Arizona Archery club is a great place with some good instructors in the North Valley. Ross archery in central phoenix has some knowledgeable guys working there who could surely help as well. Good luck on your elk hunt.

Are you sure it is the same guy? I have heard of scammers being able to show someone else's phone number when they call. I think it is called a ghost phone number. So then, when you call back to give them a hard time, the person who answers honestly had nothing to do with it. If it is a scammer, blow his phone up. haha

Same as Power Eggs. 4-6# test, #8 hook with a single split shot about 18" from the hook. Tie small treble hook directly to the line. I prefer 6 to 8# line. I cut off the barbs so it's easier to retrieve since half the time they swallow it. Add split shot 18-24 inches up if fishing from the shore and drop on the bottom. Rig it 24-36 inches if trolling. Don't overload the hook with bait; trout have tiny mouths. Thanks guys, did not mean to hijack his thread, but I seem to have bad luck with power bait. I rig it the same way but maybe too deep. I usually put the split shots 12-6" away from the hook. I will try the 18-24" next time.

how do you guys rig the power bait? I have terrible luck with it every time. Caught a couple today at Goldwater on worms.

As cheap as they are now, you are probably going to just end up throwing it away and getting a new one. A 55" LED can be had for $600 or less during sales

The Operator is a good read. It is the story by Robert Oneal about his Navy seal experience. He is the one who shot Osama Bin laden. Some guys hate him for spilling the details but I actually enjoyed the book.

Do you think without the lead, your siblings would still have those degrees?

Look like Rez animals to me.

In for a 1/4 or less of a half? He!!, steaks are on sale at pretty much any grocery store right now for the 4th. Those steaks on sale have nothing on this type of meat. The "on sale" steaks at Fry's and Basha's barely qualify as meat. Very little taste to them.

I have never had a problem with my leupold dialing either... I am sure some have issues, but they are a fine scope for the money. I trust them over Vortex. If you are not willing to spend over a grand, they are a good alternative. The deer I have killed with them, never told me that my scope dialed incorrectly..... Grin...

Lake powell chronicle is about 6 months late on that story... Last I heard, he is still out and about hunting

I have taken far more animals with my bow than I have with a rifle, but I still enjoy a gun hunt. Shooting long range does take away a pretty big part of the "hunting" aspect, but it does require a different skill. Being able to dope the wind, calculate the drop, wait for the perfect broadside shot are skills that many do not have and they take a while to get them. Sure I approach archery hunting different than I do when I long range hunt, where do you draw the line in the sand on what is ethical. I have killed multiple animals over water out of a blind. An animal has to drink, so was that unethical? In some people's eyes it is. I have knocked down a couple of coues at 500+ yards with a rifle, some think that is unethical. Stick to your ethics and quit worrying about everyone else's. We all draw the line at different places in the "ethics" book. Just do you and life will be much less stressful bud.

The bickering about this issue is ridiculous. Just accept the fact that people have different opinions on issues that we face. Trying to convince the other side by insulting them or arguing with them will not accomplish anything. If the issue is important to you, get out form behind the computer and try and do something about it. Arguing online is certainly not going to help in any way. My best advice is to go in front of the commissioners and start crying.
