Plenty of people abuse the process. This happens anytime a new rule is established. If there is a will, there is a way. I think the whole group app should have to turn their tags in if 1 guy or girl wants to. Utah does this and this helps curb the issue at hand. I do not fault guys for doing it, as it is legal and game and fish has made no attempt to end it. Maybe Revenue related, maybe they do not have a problem with it. Using point guard because horn growth is bad I think is fine. I do think there should be some better date restrictions on surrendering the tag, (like Utah). Turning a tag in the week or days before the hunt starts puts the next guy in a terrible spot or the tag goes unused. Imagine getting the call 2 days before the hunt and them saying you can burn your 15 and you get no chance to scout and you have to figure out how to get time off work. I get that you can say no, but man that would be hard to say no to a dream tag.

This proves what I keep saying. Everyone complains, but has no real solutions. If you are going to be completely against something that is a real problem, have a solution of your own. I think Azkiller is spot on with the drugs comment. I tend not to conform with the republican or the democrat views. I make an opinion of my own, right or wrong, it is mine. I am not easily influenced by fear or party lines. Doing away with parties would be my first solution to most of our problems. When we get senate votes of 100% republican opposition or 100% democrat opposition, it shows that we are sheeple. Conforming to what others have told you to conform to. If that makes us doomed from within, I will let you have that. Open dialogue is needed.

I agree with most of that.

Not saying I am in favor of the new law by any stretch. I agree, this state is now purple and slowly transitioning to blue. It is sad to see. I do, however, think something needs to be done and I do not have the answer. Mental health is a very, very tough thing to enact laws to try and curb. Not sure it is possible, but looking at different options never hurts.

I have been scouting for a buddy with the same tag. #'s seem down to me or they are just hiding better in the trees this year. Seen plenty of Mule deer bucks, but lacking on the Antelope. 13 points seems like a lot to burn on this hunt. I would guess the amount of goats killed on the last 5 archery hunts in there are sub 10 total.

The last 10 tags, there was 1 paying client. They killed early. I think 8-9 of the tags participated in Russ's program.

The last cow hunt had above 60% success rate. I heard of 6 taken with a day or so left in the hunt.

So many different accounts of how this happened. I read a report that he was taken off of suicide watch the day before he "committed suicide". Like anything else of this magnitude, the truth will never be known. The fact is, this scum bag got off way to easy.

Yeah, not a big cattle fan myself. The rotation in lots of places seems to be entirely too long. I think the 2 can live side by side to an extent. Cattle can, and do decimate areas pretty fast.
