So many rebels and outlaws in here who will continue to run cameras if they get banned. Reminds me of the baiting debacle that went down a few years ago. So many big talkers, yet the number of piles of corn, buck jam and others I used to see in the field went to almost Nil. A game wardens job is to enforce the law. Whether it be for illegal use of cameras or poaching or OUI. The world is not ending, hunting is not ending, everyone will be ok, I promise. Big deer are still gonna get killed. Big elk are still gonna get killed. As with anything else, a few guides shined a spotlight on a problem, in some people's eyes, and we will all get punished for it. As technology evolves, it is inevitable that laws will need to be made to try and keep the playing field as level as possible. States with Muzzleloader restrictions on sights and scopes is just another example of trying to level the playing field. I think of rifle season as basically an open weapon season. The muzzleloader and archery seasons need to have some kind of primitive nature to them. Everyone draws that line in different spots. We have seen it with archery when the Air bow got introduced. I would also like to see it with ML's that are able to shoot smokeless and be accurate to 500 yards. The modern compound bow has not really changed a whole heck of a lot in the past 20 years, ML'ers have. I mean, Mathews had the black max out in like 2000 that shot 340 FPS IBO. Bows today average maybe 350 IBO. I, for one, am really looking forward to the tears at the public input meeting.

I hope AGFD buys a few new trailers so they can fill them up with cameras they confiscate!

Ill make you a deal, I have 2 brand new and a few used ones. Nw valley

Really easy to eliminate cameras i think. Most wardens know who the big players are in their units. They know where they hunt. Sure, there will be those who try to defy it, but they will continually lose cameras and sooner or later, they will either hike in further or stop all together

Anyone want to buy some cameras?
-
I vote ban! Makes enforcing it easier.

I always look forward to threads when ThomC posts. Never lets me down with ridiculous ideas. 😷

Great buck! The little sticker points just makes him even sweeter. Tough buck for just about anyone to pass on that hunt.

Do lots of non-hunters use trail cameras in the woods? I get that there is always going to be those guys, who are hunters, but claim they only like to look at the pictures and they don't use them for hunting. I still think most will follow the law.

Great ram! His alive pics are almost more impressive than his dead ones. That ram is an absolute stud!! Congrats and nice work Hoss

Do you guys honestly think that the honor/shame system would not work with camera enforcement? Let's get real, the odds of seeing a warden in the field is pretty slim. Knowing this, most everyone I know follows the laws on the books. Why would they not follow the camera laws? Enforcing the law in the problem areas would not be that difficult. The amount of tanks that have a significant problem are in a fairly small area with a select few guys ruining it for everyone. *Que the tears. The replies about agfd and usfw discontinuing use of cameras because we can't use them, are ridiculous. We can't have a lot of things that gov't agencies can have. Gonna be weird when guides have to start putting time in the field again to produce results. No, checking all the camera cards does not equate to time in the field.

Cant wait for that guy to go in there and start crying again. Gonna have to start guiding the old fashioned way again.

I can't open the link, hoping it says ban cameras in certain areas or implement a season.

But what if he shot you in the face harry?

He uses kowa big eyes 🤪

Those wahoo put up a solid fight. The first one i caught, I would have lost my left nut betting how big he was going to be when he surfaced. They are phenomenal table fare too.

I hear ya. Trust me, im a pretty big nay sayer, but these guys consistently kill big deer and swear by them. I know last week, we had 20mph sustained and I still had deer come in from all directions. Hard to say why none winded me.

I have never personally used this camo but I would not immediately write it off like lots have. I have buddies that SWEAR by Ozonics when they whitetail hunt in North Dakota. These boys kill lots of animals and have lots of experience. Up until a couple years ago, I was one of those guys that thought they were complete BS, but I have since, changed my opinion after using them and hearing stories about them. Hopefully more guys come forward with actual experience and give their opinions.

how many tags?

I thought you were with TLO? Those guys usually find bulls fairly easily?

Nice! hoping its a jumbo.

I managed to round off my extractor on a glock with steel case ammo. Other than that, I have never had an issue. I do not recall exactly how many rounds it was, but IIRC it was around 10-12k rounds before it started to have failure to extract issues. I still shoot it regularly because extractors are cheap and easy to replace if it happens again.

Yeah, im pumped for North Dakota. I leave first thing tomorrow for Mchenry/ Sutton area. Have a few buddies that are farmers there. Hoping this cold snap will get the rut going.

Pepperjacks is a solid little eatery!! I've noticed that the good taxidermists have gotten exponentially busier over the past 10 years. Seems like word gets out faster on social media and the shady or shitty taxidermists get exposed quicker. Clay, in Payson, will keep my business for a while. His turnaround time is a year or more, but his work is top notch.

haha, I love a good honest opinion on something. Jeeps have their purpose but it definitely is not long travel. They are uncomfortable on short trips. Good luck in Kansas! Shoot a biggin
