DICK lol -
This Reeks... Wish I had some land to trade you a hunt on. You have some great looking critters on yours. Texas is fun AF to hunt, with animals a plentiful. That Axis he killed is amazing. One of these days I am going to go there and shoot more than just hogs.

Guides are broke, just ask them. 200 guys costs a lot more than 200 cameras over a 10 day period.

Now you are gonna troll? lol. I saw your post earlier today.

Tough hunt over there. I heard the bull hunt started out pretty good but fizzled out with the pressure. 7E is usually a difficult riddle to crack, Congrats on getting it done.

I kinda like Josiah more now that I know he hits the bottle at night.

Good post... Before you go argue in front of the commission, please, please have someone screen your arguments. They are really weak and lack any substance. Same as there will always be poaching even tho it is illegal.

I find it insane that guys are not smart enough to know that limiting technology is a necessary evil we must contend with. Do guys, who think nothing should be off limits, think we should eliminate all law and order? You guys are ok with draw locks for guys without disabilities, crossbows that shoot 150 yards for guys without disabilities. Using infrared to locate animals during the night. Using drones to locate animals while hunting, The unmanned guns that are hooked to cameras where you can shoot the animals from your computer at home. Those are just a few off the top of my head that came up in the past 10-15 years. I mean, if you can not see that technology is always evolving and laws need to be put in place to limit or curtail the effects of some of the advances in technology to try and maintain some semblance of hunting. Where everyone draws the line is different. That is why the poll has mixed opinions on it.

You don't need to worry about anything. This will only affect people who hunt.

Because of the pepper spray?

I think it would be great, if they make their case, by getting a trail cam pic of a guy checking his trail cams. hahahahahaha

Sweet! I might have to dust off the shotguns and get out there. Seems like most are having a pretty good quail year. I have been so immersed in Big game hunting the last 10 years that I lost my mojo for quail and duck hunting. -
Fixed it for you.

Miss or just not get a shot? I know the feeling of helping out only to watch a perfect situation somehow turn to shhitt. Frustrating as all heck and probably double in a walk in wilderness only. Like other's have said, a good couple day or week break always helps recharge the batteries.

Hahahaha🤣

Guys won't sit 45 days unless they have the auction or raffle tag hunter. Guides are notoriously broke and can't afford to sit 45 days with no compensation. Let's say a few defy that logic, its still far less than the 200 cameras they have spread out over 100's of miles. They are gonna have to commit to certain areas instead if covering 100's of miles and then committing to an area.

Come on man! Some of these scenarios are 1 and a million. Grasping for straws, if you will. Like everything else in life, the big players/offenders are their intended targets. Anyone else remember all the ridiculous scenarios when baiting was gonna get banned? I havnt heard of anyone charged with baiting that wasn't intending to bait..

Are you saying pre- trail camera's, guys sat every water tank and had spot light posse's. OR have the guides gotten so dependent on their information that, that is how they will operate if they get banned? I do not remember the animals being completely nocturnal prior to trail cameras. Do you honestly think guys will spend full days in the field sitting tanks to, in essence, be a trail camera? I think some of the major players might. I do not think the guys who run and grab a guide's license and call themselves guides will tho. The "weekend warrior" guys certainly will not.

I would get behind a season before I commit to an all out ban. I feel like something has to be done. I like the idea of a 6 month season Aug 1st- Jan. 1st. First time offenders should be automatically barred from any camera use for 5 years as well as complete investigation costs recovered. Possession during the closed season should be treated like lead shot while waterfowl hunting. Any possession while in the field shall constitute use.

You even hunt Bruh?

It's the tripod. Get yourself one of the bigger manfrotto carbon's. I use the 290 carbon and it handles my 80mm scope pretty well.
