    WTB: Carbon Fiber Tripod

It's been my favorite smaller tripod to date. Smooth head, fairly lightweight and handles my 82mm spotting scope.

Nice spreadsheet. Not sure if you made it or not, but if you did, nice work. Your logic seems far more sound vs. AGFD logic

    AK Moose hunt drop camp

I was originally thinking of going with Luke again. When I talked to him, he let me know that his Moose population is not as good as he would like right now for legal bulls and that he has a buddy that offers drop camps for moose with a much better population right now. He is such a stand up guy and was just honest with me. I booked with his buddy and the cool part is, I will get to hunt southern Ak next year. Our caribou hunt was north of Fairbanks and the weather was cold with snow, sleet and rain. Next year, the average temps where I will be in Sept. will be highs around 50 and lows will be high 30's, low 40's. Now i will get a taste of the nats, whitesocks and mosquitos.

    2023 Guideline Recommendations

That would be great. I agree though, i see no chance of it happening. I dont think anyone us telling savageman not to crossgun hunt. What I and maybe others are saying is: Its time to approach agfd about crossguns and make changes. If a guy has a permanent injury, preventing him from using a bow, he shouldn't be able to crossgun hunt during an archery season. I think CHAMP season would be better or general.

Unit 22 questions (not hunting spots)

22 is a large unit vertically. The northern part is vastly different from the southern part. It could have snow up north and be 70-80* down south. This affects the road conditions. Some will be good, some will be terrible. Deer are throughout the unit but in my experience the better bucks have been found by getting away form the roads or going into the wilderness areas. Good luck on your hunt, 22 is loaded with lots of animals.

Nice tall buck there. Can't tell age, but it would be nice if he lived another year or two. Maybe that little kicker will turn into something.

  25. Agree with Lance. Hard to ask guys that have never been to that ranch before. Every ranch in Mexico is different. I know a lot of guys that go to Mexico for coues and I would say they break 105" less than 25% of the time. They have shot some jumbos as well, but the ranches they hunt they seem to be right around 100's.
