Saw this on Instagram...what’s your take?
HuntHarder replied to Yuma Outdoorsman's topic in The Campfire
Nah... I will agree to disagree. The vast majority of hunters will be truthful on their mandatory harvest reports, especially if there are repercussions if you are caught being untruthful. Your last statement actually makes most people's point about mandatory harvest reporting. Of course all that matters is the total harvest. RIght now, we literally have no idea how many animals are killed in each unit. With Mandatory harvest, that actual number will be much clearer. Only a few losers will lie on their harvest reports. -

I used silencer shop.com. Really easy process, They do all the submitting of paperwork for you, just gotta go to one of their kiosks and get finger printed and picture taken. I set up a trust online thru gun trust guru I believe. It too, was really easy.

Yes and no... Being able to spot trends with accurate harvest data is pretty important. As of right now, we really have 0 idea of where archery hunters hunt on OTC tags. Also, their archery rule of closing units relies on a 20% of total harvest for each unit. Right now, their is no possible way to actually determine if a certain unit has hit the 20% threshold. I agree that knowing an actual count on the animals in a particular unit is important when it comes to management, but it is not an absolute. Let's start with baby steps and require harvest reporting. From there, we can evolve this into a more scientific way of actually MANAGING our wildlife. -
Was this the buffalo incident everone was talking about
HuntHarder replied to couesdeerhntr's topic in Buffalo Hunting
Nah, Chad knew what he was doing. Then took it a step further and looked like a complete assclown racking a round in his chamber. What a true piece of chit. -
Wally world usually does the same thing. They will not sell a 2022 deer tag until 2022.

That opening your beer thing is 100% true in Texas. I learned quickly that you want to pre- open all your beers before it becomes prime time.

Yup, they are everything they are hyped to be. I constantly glass 200" muleys, 120" coues and 400" bulls now 🤣. All bs aside, they really are an amazing optic. Only negative i have is hand holding 12x is a little tougher than my 10x.

Great news. Bass blow shops has completely put cabelas in the shitter. Cabelas was never as good as Sportsmans, but I used to be able to spend a little in there. I now go in there with full intentions of buying something and they either, never have it, or it is so insanely priced I can't do it.

Spot-and-Stalk or Sitting Water?
HuntHarder replied to AzRaised08's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Spot and stalk is a lot more fun. I've killed plenty both ways and here in AZ, much prefer spot and stalk. Coues are pretty habitual on the early hunt tho, late hunt is a shitshow. Those hill rats can move a mile in minutes. -
Gotta put fur and 110" racks on those rocks?

Gotta be those huge beanbags they have

Like the dumbest big game animal we get to hunt. They make mule deer look smart

Because it would generate exactly 0 more dollars doing that. Having a separate draw will entice people to apply.

Giant or bust in 4B!!

My question, Why TF are you in a hurry to get a leftover spring tag? To think we have a 3 page thread of people bitching about the leftover list taking too long. FFS ladies, get a life.

Stop shi*#ing on a guy's classified. Start a new thread if you want to do a PSA on hauling a SxS.

That buck is a tough one for me. Looks light horned, longer beams, long tines. I keep getting 191". That could be way off tho. lol. I feel like judging from a video should be easier, but for me it's harder. Absolute stud buck tho. Thanks for the awesome mule deer videos.

Great Buck! Not knowing what hunt you had, I would say that buck is hard to pass on for most hunts. His extra fork is pretty cool.

Anyone close on score? I see how at different angles you second guess his size dramatically. At any rate, solid coues for sure🥳
