So far, I have tried the ELD-X and Accubond. The ELD-X has shown some really good accuracy but still in the infant stage of load development.

My first thought was: dang, I thought Blake's kid was too young to be an author.

It's a black bear that identifies as white.

What is the highest velocity caliber?

the 17-50bmg is the fastest I have seen. 17gr. bullet at the speed of light. -
Knock on wood.. 2018 Honda pioneer 1000-5 here. I have only changed the fluids on it in almost 4 years. I did it all myself.

I was gonna say 40+ as well. I have caught a few in the 30's and they all looked smaller than that one.

Love topics like this. Common sense says as the technology progresses, rules will need to be made to curb the advances. Where that line gets drawn is debatable for sure. New rules and regulations happen every year and are needed for the most part.

Solid slab there. Any carp on the surface?

177 lbs this am. Goal was lean out to 175, then build back up. Almost bulk season.

I will be hunting this year in Alaska PRDTR. I saw those Hammers as in stock and ready to ship. I have read a lot of guys like them. Are they similar to Barnes bullets? The VLD served me well on plenty of critters, but the lack of exit on a few have me thinking they grenade a little too much for my liking on moose. The last big game I shot with a rifle was a Caribou and the ELD-x performed fantastic. Seems that a bunch of online reviews say they blow apart pretty easy tho. Probably just over thinking this but I have some time, so why not. I have 200gr. ELDX and 178 LRX. I have never really been a Nosler guy, but the Accubond seems to have a cult like following. Back to the Hammer bullets, which one would be best suited? Their spread of bullets is pretty amazing. Lots of options.

Polygraph test both. Loser pays the other's expenses plus a grand plus a public shaming.

Have you read the language yet? Looks like it is aimed at outfitters and anyone who gets compensated for finding or guiding. How is it going to affect family and friends helping on a tag? Most of the guys I know, who are against giant "for compensation" posses, are not the jealous type. I think hunter's by nature tend to be a little jelly of others when they kill big critters. I also think that unfortunately, a lot of the guides have made the hunting scene a little toxic and some are getting fed up with it. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Without a doubt tho, the western hunting scene is vastly changing and I do not see that slowing down any time soon. More rules and more rules.

You really think guys that are opposed to giant posses of guys chasing an animal, are jealous?
-
Bigger problem? Horses or donkeys? Shame they can't effectively manage either one.

Pretty cool pin. I remember being a member of PVCI for a year or 2. Great tournaments.

Dan, How did the event turn out?

Do you ever get to the valley? I'll buy if you do

Mine is correct. I went in with 9 points. (7 individual, hunter ed and loyalty) Shows my individual points as 7 and group average as 9.
