    Electric F150

Electric vehicles are great for 90% of in town driving. Towing will significantly cut your range down but day to day driving, they are like a soft johnson, hard to beat. I'd be interested in a pickup if they could get more mileage out of them for weekend trips and the such. Even if solar charging became better, I'd be interested. The cars are fast AF and cheap to operate.

Yup.. not a deal one in there right now, let alone tomorrow...
  5. In my previous LR rifles, I pretty much stuck to winchester brass. On my newest gun, Winchester brass was included with the gun. All was once, maybe twice fired. I only have like 70 pieces of brass and know I will need more. Finding Winchester brass seems to be a challenge, so I was going to buy the Lapua brass and had a few questions. I am not trying to blow the taint hair off a gnat, but want accuracy. 1. Typically if a good load is found using winchester brass, is it likely that the Lapua brass will be similar in accuracy? I know case capacity could and probably will change a little, but what are the odds it is still an accurate load. 2. If I do get Lapua brass, Does once fired lapua brass have any impact on accuracy vs. the unfired Lapua brass.

    Different brass question

I have always used a comparator. I dont quite understand how guys don't. Bullets vary so much on nose length. Thanks for the info guys! This gun is already a shooter, not sure I can shrink my groups any more, but I'll try.

    Different brass question

What is everyone's consensus on prep work on new Lapua brass? I was gonna just Full length size it, chamfer it and load it. Seems lots of guys like to use an expander and or neck size it. Some guys just chamfer and debur others say, just load it and go. Am I able to half way full length size it? Just enough to uniform the neck? Is this a good idea? On all the cheaper brass I shoot, I would full length size it, chamfer it and then load it. I have always had good to very good results reloading but now I am looking to expand my knowledge a little more.

    Trijicon Credo vs Nightforce SHV

My last rifle got a Zeiss V6 3-18x50. IIRC it is 22 oz. Redhawk rifles has them for 1500ish demo. Pretty hard to find a bad review of them.

Can't believe Trphy hasn't driven to the farm in Buckeye yet. Hit one of them waterin' holes on Jackrabbit and go straighten things out with this scorned Cougar. Her standards aren't too high, ( see Kenny) and surely would be an upgrade from some of your hogs you end up waking up next to.

    Leupold Problem..Maybe

I too have a leupold I dial consistently with. knock on wood, I have never had an issue. A few other buddies have them as well with 0 issues. I do think they are sensitive to improper mounting tho. If your scope is in any kind of slight bind, the tracking will be compromised.

    Caldwell lead sled $40

Boy did this thread get hijacked, I will continue on with it. The only problem with the first " I will take it" is sometimes guys commit even tho they have questions. Then when they get the wrong answers, they back out. I usually will say " I will take it, pending some questions" Totally up to the seller to let me ask them or go to the first guy that takes it without questions. When I am selling something, I give the guy who first showed interest the right or refusal. Some things are not black and white or info is missing in the post that might sway someone from purchasing or not. Bottom line is do not get all ate up over not getting something online. If they choose to sell it to someone else. BFD.

    Elk 101

I like to get a feel for the actual hunt I am on. Some hunts, the animals are very call shy, so calling is minimal at best. Other hunts, they come screaming in, in a hurry. Some bulls respond better to cow calls, other's come to bugles. Some bulls like branch's breaking, bugling. Calf calling is one of my favorite calls to pull a cow away from the harem. If you can pull a cow, chances are, that bull will not let her get too far away before he comes to gather her back up. I would say on average, bugle to locate, move in and figure out how many cows he has and develop a plan from there. If you start calling, be ready to have satellite bulls come in completely silent. My favorite hunt to go on for sure.

    Monday Check in

Bulk season has arrived... Been shooting for macro's of 40 protein, 40, carb and 20 fat. My average has been closer to 37, 37, 26. First week in, I feel bloated AF and am almost forcing myself to eat. Meal prepping has been good but I can really only plan 3 days ahead. Learning to eat more fruit and try and focus on eating the right foods at the right time. I have lots to learn, but it's been kind of fun. Hoping to add 10 lbs and stay around 185 lbs. Not sure how long it will take.

  19. So, starting from scratch on a new 300 win. mag. My first and top priority will be Alaskan Moose. Shot distances could and should be less than 200 yards, but I want to have the ability to shoot at least 700 ish, just in case the opportunity presents it's self. In my other long range rifles, I have had good success with Berger VLD's and Hornady ELD-x's. I think I might be over thinking this new rifle, just curious what others would start with. My short list is Hammer, ELD-X, Barnes LRX or Accubonds. I am thinking between 175gr - 200 grain on the bullet weight. Barrel is 26" 1-10" twist. I currently have H4350, H4831 but may be able to get some H1000 or Retumbo. At any rate, anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

    Which bullet?

So far, I have tried the ELD-X and Accubond. The ELD-X has shown some really good accuracy but still in the infant stage of load development.
