So, pro gun/ anti gun control guys, want to take guns away from people they don't think should have guns?

It's been raining off and on since thursday in peoria. Radar shows more tonight and early am tomorrow..

If im pickup camping, I drive the SxS back to pickup each night. If im only going for a couple nights, I can pack my camp and some in my SxS. I have all the backcountry gear for an easy couple day spike out.

It took me a few years to convince myself to buy one. I haven't regretted it once. Like you, I paid cash, so no payments. My advice is get one, try it out for a year or 2. Worst case scenario it costs you a grand or 2 to realize you don't want one. Best case, you explore areas you wouldn't have before and find new honey holes. The last 3 archery bucks I've killed, are in spots I would never have gone before I had my SxS. It's fun outfitting them the way you want to as well. I spent 2-4k on aftermarket upgrades or add-ons. Mine I'd set up pretty good for what I use it for.

huh? They said they were paying Janitors with the money?

I'll chime in. Pulling a trailer doesn't limit you at all. I have never had an issue of getting in and not being able to get out. With a SxS, I rarely drive very far into the woods without unloading the SxS. Why beat your body up in a pickup when a SxS is smooth. As far as prices go, they, like everything else, are extremely high right now. I am not convinced they will drop significantly any time soon. They *should come down, but by how much, it's anyone's guess. The cost of ownership depends on the machine I think. I have a 2018 pioneer 1000-5 I bought new. I have only changed the fluids so far. Knock on wood, it has been bullet proof. Insurance depends on what kind of coverage you want. Full coverage runs about 700$ a year street legal. Less than full coverage can be half that. Depending on your financial situation, I think they are a great tool and have helped me get into some places I would have never attempted in my Pickup.

IMO, you are way off. I wasn't around in the early 80's, but everyone I talk to says there were ALOT more deer. I know for a fact that 12a is a completely different unit than it used to be. Have you seen the tag cuts? Both quality and quantity are far below where they used to be. Sure a big buck or 2 get killed each year, but overall, quality down too.

1 and 27 getting pounded!! Go figure, I always thought a bunch more archery bucks die vs. What agfd thinks. Mandatory reporting for ALL hunts is the key.
-
For steaks, I completely agree. 90% of my big game gets ground up into burger, sausage and Jerky.
-
Poverty steak at that.

My go to, if I'm not using a havalon, is a cold steel pendleton hunter. The knives of Alaska are great too, just don't let them get dull. D2 tool steel is really hard and even harder to put a new edge on, in the field.

I'm not gonna post unit #'s, but my usual is probably close to 1 cup reduced sodium soy sauce, 1/4 cup olive oil and 1 tablespoon fresh garlic. TD'S Brew and bar b cue Carne sutra seasoning right before either searing or straight to the smoker.

You guys gotta eat more ribeyes. Just another steak day out our house. Now a prime tomahawk or just a prime ribeye is a treat.
-
*update Threw the marinade on some ribeyes and a couple top sirloins. Followed directions exactly and them put then on the traeger for 15 minutes on high. Taste was good to very good, not too salty in my opinion. I still like my go to marinade ( soy sauce, olive oil and garlic) better, but I will throw this marinade into the rotation for sure.

Not written in stone, I asked this very question to a warden on an Antelope hunt. Her repsonse was, if your arrow comes closer than 440 during the shot, it is illegal. It is the only warden I have ever posed this question to, so take it for what it's worth.

Typical for guys on here to assume everyone is as broke as they are. Good luck with the sale.
-
Com' on, they gotta give more credit to the water cutbacks they issued.

Of all the ones I own, I think the vortex is the worst. Buttons are hard to push. Vortex is on a rifle, believe it's called the Sparc ii.
-
I have Holosun, trijicon, Sig, Vortex and Eotech. Honestly for the money, I would go Holosun. I like the Eotech too
-
Helen Keller could see that. Sad times for sure.

Sounds like BP needs more processors than BP agents. Sad to here how this administration is handling the Inrush. Closing checkpoints and shifting personnel to help haul and process. 🤮

Looks like a page ago "couesy" said "He was baiting before the client's visit and knew where to take them."

Close, you don't need a license on private land, but most places will charge you per hog. Finding them on state land, I've heard, is difficult. Hog hunting is big business in Texas. The drive is miserable from PHX but the price used to be right. 1000 ish miles each way, 14-16 hours, ive done it a few times.
