It does help to do the same hunt for 1st and second choice. The reason is: Lets say 1st choice bonus point pass is 14 points, and second choice is 9. You have 10 points. You will get your 2nd choice, and will have never had a chance for your first. So if you do the same hunt for both, then you are not going to get drawn during bonus point phase, but you still have a chance during 1st and 2nd choice phase. Hopefully this makes sense.

I would run goodyear over BFG. Just a personal preference, but I have had lots of "chunking" out on BFG all-terrains. Might get 30000 before they are rotting and starting to chunk. Goodyear Kevlars, either A/t or duratracs would be my choice.

IMO nocturnal lighted nocks are the best. I do not care for lumenok. Had it turn off too many times after the arrow blows thru an animal. I can not stand the way their nock turns on. Nocturnal's turn on with the string , and it takes a small knife or paperclip to turn them off. Fly tru to field points as well.

Way to be pro-active MathewP. Lions need to be kept in check, or our sheep will vanish. I think there are more problems, other than just lions, but they play a major factor in sheep and other animal 3#'s.

Where did you get your +/- .008-.010 on their inserts? If this is the case, I would be a bit concerned as well. Also What are other arrow's +/- on inserts? I can not find this data anywhere on the internet, and never thought of it when looking at arrows. If some companies are producing sub-par products, I would like to know about it so I can steer clear in the future.

I am trying to understand what you just said, but I do not. I do not understand how the point is victory's fault? Wouldn't all arrows have that same +/- on the point? Where do you get your info on their inserts being 8-10k off? What are other arrow company's +/- on inserts? My VAPs claim +/- .001 on straightness. Not sure where you got your .003. They make VAP V3's which will be .003, but the VAP V1's are .001. Please Elaborate, maybe I am missing something.

Maverick- Which pro shop do you work at? Could you Elaborate on the VAP tolerances you are speaking of.

Just shoot VAP's and not worry about the other BS. There is enough to worry about in bowhunting, Do not add any more variables. Get the Stainless outserts for the VAPs and get some serious weight forward. Love mine! Fly like guided missiles!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stud bucks for sure.

6b will have above a 25% chance with 0 points. 7E is also a good choice. a few 100% draw hunts are the limited opportunity hunts. 2a and 2b should be 100% draw as well. Good luck

Another thief off of the streets!!! I will not lose any sleep over it... Where there is smoke, there is fire.

Call game and fish. They will likely put her down, and look into how she was shot or why she was shot.

I like it. Seems like a good alternative. 1/4 the price, but also a little risk if it ever peels.

There is no more restriction, unless you are hunting migratory birds

How's about a "Let's Bash The AZG&FD" section ???
HuntHarder replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in The Campfire
"Hoghunter" What ever happened to self accountability? Do you need game and fish to hold your hand thru the process of buying tags? Do not wait until the last minute, and all of your "problems" could have been solved. This goes for everyone who waited to long to figure out where they had to purchase a new tag for 2014. Come on over to the "right" side and quit relying on people to hold your hand thru the process. AZlance usually brings up pretty sound arguments against game and fish, you on the other hand sound like a big whiner!!! Go hunting! Enjoy life! It's too short to get all worked up over missing 1 day of hunting b/c of a ,once in the last 20 year, tag change over. Seems like most of your posts have been negative.. 26 is dirty with trash, people shooting across the desert, javelina are going to be shot out b/c of 2 harvest limit, too many donkeys, game and fish hates hunters, list goes on..... -
Can you sell a Bobcat whole?

Bruno's in Phoenix usually has a good selection of powder, but be ready to get bent over on price. They are usually somewhere close to 38$ a pound on hodgdon. so yeah the 31.25$ a pound does not sound bad.

I used both for finding animals, What else do you use yours for? J/k . I much prefer 10's on a tripod over 15's, then scope if looking for bedded or determining what the animal is. Nothing like having to lug around 10's, 15's and a scope.

**Lets here your thoughts about new paper tags AND tags being withheld till jan1. :)
HuntHarder replied to hoghntr's topic in The Campfire
How long is the complaining about a different tag going to last? Adapt!!!!! It is not the end of the world. Go out and hunt! Notching the date of kill is a great idea and I am glad they did it. It is about time they catch up to other states. As far as the paper, Who gives a crap? When you go hunting, just like you make sure you have arse- wipe, make sure you have a zip lock bag and a tie. It is not rocket science....
